The Clock Tower tour was very interesting and accessed by an almost century old elevator. But don't worry... it is serviced weekly and has been modernized to ensure its safety and proper functioning. Once above, the tour provides great aerial views of the immediate area and beyond, but obviously, this might be weather dependent. The walkway is cramped, resulting in tight group photos. Keep in mind that you'll have to climb a couple of sets of stairs to take advantage of the views. The weather may also impact the cleanliness of the plexiglass barriers, which may affect your ability to see and photograph the bells. Although the elevator stops at the clock face level of the tower, you will not be allowed to leave the lift. This is a suboptimal location for pictures. Reservations are required for this tour, so you'll need to book...

FREE AMAZING TOUR to visit one of Brissie most signature icons!

We have been living in Brisbane for more than a year but didn’t know this exists! Bookings need to be made in advanced as it is almost fully booked everyday, especially on weekends. Each tour can accommodate up to 4 guests and take 15 minutes to see everything. Very friendly staff will answer all your questions and try to assist in every possible way.

I saw at least 2 x groups could not attend as they did not make bookings. So make sure you book yourself in advance.

The lift itself is so unique as it’s one of the oldest lift in Brisbane. It has a handler to activate and gives us a retro vibe the moment we enter.

Check my videos out, let me know if this is useful so I can create more contents for you to check...

A fun, free activity with great views and a fun ride up a 90 year old lift.

Just be aware the tours leave early- we arrived exactly on time and our tour had already left so we rebooked. Worth arriving 10-15minutes early for your booked time. It also only lasts around 10minutes total so not much time for taking photos; very whistlestop. Staff unfortunately were not super friendly on our trip, but may have just been that particular day. We left 5 minutes before our allotted time, and our guide wouldn’t wait for a couple of arrived just as we went through the doors…

However lots of history to hear about which was good!

Overall worth a visit and for a free activity can’t complain- just wish had more time to take...

Great place to discover in Brisbane cbd. Located in level 3 Museum of Brisbane within city hall tower, this clock tower is a must-see attraction if you are in Brisbane. Free tour runs for 15 mins during the day but limited spots so you are better book ahead to avoid waiting time. Very friendly and knowledgeable staffs. Old clock tower, was one of the tallest building in Brisbane before. The old lift has operated since 1930, hence, run for 92 years already but had recent renovation, thus, very safe. The bells were made from UK since 1920 and shipped to Australia since then. You can have some eye-bird views of the city from the top of the clock tower too. Overall, great free tour, highly recommended!
