Very busy place. Plenty of staff members. You can book all sorts of trips with these people. Very helpful. Because they a volunteers you do get transferred to the one who best knows the place you are going. Hidden in the back of building is that fantastic sculptured staircase which you really have to go and see. In fact the whole room.

Just love it in the old Regent Theatre Building! What a Brisbane icon! Sincerely hope this remains the permanent place for the information centre as it is the eye of Brisbane!! The architecture and the decoration throughout the building is just stunning for Australia with a relatively young history of <300 years European arrivals!

We went here to the visitor center for a walking tour around Brisbane! While we waited here for the tour to start, we were shown and told some interesting things! Then the tour started and Martin, our tour guide, showed us around! I highly recommend the tour and will gladly come again!

Outstanding Customer Service – Thank You!

I visited the premises today around 12:30 PM and was warmly welcomed by a lovely young lady at the front desk. I explained to her that, in my rush to attend a 9:00 AM appointment earlier that morning, I had forgotten which car park I had used. I only realised later that there were multiple car parks in close proximity to my destination, which made it difficult to retrace my steps.

I could only recall a few vague details about the location, but this staff member was incredibly patient, kind, and helpful. She took the time to listen carefully, asked me relevant questions, and helped me narrow down the options based on the limited information I had. Unlike others I had asked earlier, who had unintentionally sent me in the wrong direction, she gave me accurate guidance.

After nearly two hours of searching and checking multiple car parks, her directions finally led me to the correct one — exactly where I had left my car. I’m extremely grateful for her assistance, professionalism, and empathy during a very frustrating situation.

She truly went above and beyond, and I can’t...

DISCLAIMER This review is about the handling of open spots on/registration to the tour. We did not actually take the tour and this is not about any of its guides!

We arrived shortly after 10am at the Visitor Centre to ask whether there were any available spots left on the free walking tour as we did not manage to stop by or call beforehand, having only arrived the previous evening. They told us that unfortunately only one spot was left (we were 2 persons) and that we should come back at 10.30am to see whether anyone did not show up. Naturally, that did not happen and they told us we cannot join the tour. But what struck us most (and what we had a problem with) was that the tour was nowhere overbooked! It happened to have 8 spots in total and only 7 were filled. But they could not fit in two more people?! We did take park in other free walking tours in Melbourne and Sydney with over 20 people and they were still great and the guide managed to talk to everyone over the duration of the tour. We were very disappointed that they could not fit in one person more than ‘allowed’ and let...

went to the visitor centre in BNE today 28/2/29 at 5pm to get refund for my go cards. Lined up, and served by this lady that was no interested to help me at all. She said : NO! WE DONT DO REFUND HERE, YOU NEED TO MAIL IT TO THEM. Then she gave me an envelope and said its free, you can just posted it. I even said that according to the website, you can do the refund here. She insisted they are not the retailer to do the refund. So I walked outside, pull my phone out and did my google research, went back in again, lined up again, and showed her from my phone that this is the address here right ? Regents theatre - Brisbane visitor information centre? Then she turned around said : oh refund, yes we can do refund, we just don’t do the form here, I can do it now. Seriously? If she has no interest in helping people, why she is working there to be the face of Brisbane? She could simply said to me that no need for the form for the first interaction. Instead, I HAD TO GET MY PHONE OUT and SHOWED IT TO HER FACE THAT YOU CAN...
