Ok this is not a good rating & there is a good reason for that, their Sausage & egg muffin, which we ordered one for each of us. @nearly $10 each you would expect it to be good, after all its a hot flat bit of sausage , an hot egg some BBQ sauce in a sliced muffin. What we got was a badly reheated pre-prep Sausage & egg muffin, each with 2 x 20 piece of luke warm sausage with a cold centre. This cafe is in a great location, has nice coffee, but our experience of their hot food was bad. I did let them know that they might have to heat their meals/ snacks a little longer, prior to serving. It was a great view spoiled by below average food.

For those looking for a cafe in New Farm park there a few options: the New Farm shops along Brunswick Street, the Brisbane Powerhouse at Lamington Street or End of the Road Coffee adjacent the New Farm City Cat ferry terminal. The cafe is well place on the southern corner of New Farm park, with umbrella terrace seating overlooking the park and river. Good service, nice coffee and snacks. Busy on a weekend with dine in or takeaway. We arrived by ferry, public transport would be the easiest way to get here, though you might be lucky and snag a car park. Good post Parkrun recovery option after the New Farm run.

This cafe is well shaded and has lovely views of the river and New Farm Park. I had a coffee and raisin toast. The service was friendly and I received my coffee and toast in a reasonable time. I was entertained by the Minah birds trying to take my toast and the possum in the tree above me. Come here for a peaceful coffee and snack.

I come here often and 2 to 3 years ago would've definitely given the place at least 4 stars as the coffee was great, albeit the service was very slow most of the time. The location was also fantastic.

Nowadays the coffee is mediocre at best, the food is very underwhelming and the place doesn't feel weel looked-after or properly organised - it takes ages for dirty crockery to be taken away and the place is looking a bit tired and in need of regular cleaning. The staff often don't understand the customers.

Also, their opening hours have become really erratic. They will often not open just because the weather forecast says it might rain or it might be hot.

I don't know if the above changes are due to a recent-ish change of management who seem to care more about cutting corners rather than providing good products and service.

Such a shame, I used to really enjoy going there.

Anyone who can't run a successful business with their location and...

Terrible service and very rude manager. Waited for 45 minutes for food and then they didn’t bring coffees because they forgot to make them. Food wasn’t good and was just put in a paper bag. Didn’t bring water even when waiting in line to ask. Manager offered no sympathy at all or apology about forgetting the coffees and wouldn’t discount (this was after over an hour of waiting). I never leave bad reviews but this one was so bad and the manager was so rude that people should be warned before choosing to come here. Very frustrating experience and $30 for two half sandwiches thrown in a paper bag and two small coffees which were supposed to be large. At that point there was no point to even fight to get the right size we paid for as the manager does not care about...

Great location by the river and close to the ferry terminal. Public toilets available nearby, at rear of cafe. Coffee is average and I had takeaway raisin toast, one thick slice $4, it was average and poorly presented, just thrown in a brown paper bag! I asked for a cup of hot water for my own herbal tea and was first told that was only available for dine in customers. I explained that I was not dining in and was told that I could get a takeaway cup of hot water for $1. I took up the offer as I had no alternative, I think that $1 is unreasonable for a cup of hot water. I won’t be going back! I found the staff unwelcoming and...
