Grill'd Emporium — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Probably the worst Grill'd experience to date.

Went in at 9pm. 2 tables were here. Woman came to the counter to serve me and then handed the till over to her colleague. He processed the sale. After rushing me through the order talking over me without actually listening to me, the order which was 2 burgers, one with extra crispy bacon. 9 Hfc bites and regular onion rings, was placed.

Burgers accompanied by the HFC bites took almost 20 minutes which was fine.

But this is there it went south.

We asked the manager a full spicy sauce bottle. The one sitting was empty. She brought a ramekin of ketchup. After 5 minutes of waiting for the onion rings. We asked if they were near. "They'll just be a few minutes" was the response. Watched the staff just chat and walk around whilst cleaning. 10 minutes passed. We asked again. We were told the staff are just remaking them. Heard the staff say to each other "remaking them again". So they made them 3 times, and then we finally received them. They came undercooked and unseasoned, and the burgers were now cold. To add to it. The bacon I ordered extra crispy looked like it had been introduced to heat for about 15 seconds. Maybe less. And the burger was missing the mustard that was advertised. All in all, a truly jaw dropping experience if you like a terrible time but unfortunately we weren't...

I am a student who came here to learn English, and I really love this country and its people. Everyone is usually very kind and polite, and even though I don’t speak English very well, people are very tolerant and patient with me.

However, on September 25th in the afternoon between 3:45 and 4:00 pm, at the cashier, there was a male staff member wearing a hat who was really unfriendly and unpleasant. His attitude felt as if we were forcing him to work. I asked a question that I didn’t understand, and when I didn’t understand it again the second time, unfortunately, the way he explained things was sarcastic and mocking, with a smile that made me very uncomfortable.

Since my English is not very good yet, I don’t want to waste people’s time, and I am trying to improve myself. But seeing people like this, especially working in such a brand, makes me feel bad.

As someone who eats here four times a week, I will not come again, and I will not recommend this place to anyone. I don’t want to eat in a rude environment.

Afterwards, when I left, he and his colleague talked and laughed together. Maybe it wasn’t about me, I can’t prove it, but it still made...

I've been eating Grill'd for a long time. This time however in a new location I haven't visited, when I received my meal it was not what I expected from a decade or 2 of experience. Simply, my meal was TINY. I think most restaurants would have called the burger I received a "slider" just a few years ago. This is the worst case of shrink-flation I have ever seen anywhere. If I get half a burger, it needs to be half the price so I can buy two! Grill'd burgers were already rather expensive, but I cough up for a premium meal... but you can't have it both ways; expensive, or small, definitely not both! A customer can't walk away from a nearly $40 lunch (!!) feeling hungry.

It was also very dry. I ordered the garden goodness, attracted by the avocado, but there was no avocado to be seen. I inspected closely and found a microscopic layer which I couldn't detect while eating my meal. Perhaps they're trying to cut back on the expensive ingredients?

After decades of patronage, I don't see myself visiting Grill'd in the future unless they correct this egregious and...
