Grill'd Rosalie — Restaurant in Brisbane City

We love the burgers and sides here - always great and fresh tasting.

However last night's dining experience wasn't great. It was Friday night and busy. We had to wait for a table, and that's fair enough. When we ordered we were told it would take 20 to 25 minutes. Also, fair enough. And good service to be informed of this and be given the choice. However it actually took over 40 minutes to get our meals. Plenty of time to make some observations then...

One: Hungry waiting children don't make good dining companions.

Two: A largish group who were ordering when we first arrived had their meals delivered over a very extended period of about 20 minutes - that's not really good enough for people ordering and hoping to dine together.

Three: During this period the kitchen was absolutely smashing out the takeaway/delivery orders. They were incredibly busy.

I won't use delivery services on principle, but it kind of sticks in my craw that it seems this isn't enough to avoid the unfortunate effects of this industry. Dining in customers don't have all night, and there is a limit to how long loyal customers will keep coming back for this sort of treatment.

Yes, you voluntarily offered me a free burger at my next visit (within 14 days), but I don't want a free burger. I just want the burgers I paid for served in a reasonable and expected time frame. Please find a better way to balance the needs of dine in customers with whichever multinational companies you happen to have signed deals with.

Despite this, I must say that all of the staff at Rosalie that we had dealings with were all first class and said and did the right things.

5 stars for the food and staff - 2 points off for the delivery...

Easily our favourite Grill'd store to visit. The tables and floors are always super clean, the staff are so warm and considerate. The food is consistently delicious and always well put together even when they're busy. But my favourite part is how careful they are with allergy info. My son is allergic to egg and they always grill his patty on a different section of the grill and even avoid the toaster for his bun which has egg containing bread going into it. Other stores we have tried don't even note it down on their screen when I say 'egg allergy' let alone be careful with the grill or toaster. How careful they are means we drive an extra 25 minutes (right past our local Grill'd) to go to the Rosalie store because they really are that much better. Typical Grilled restaurant. Great burgers. Stopped in on my home from work to get my free burger as picked the broncos and they won!!!! The guy on the counter told me that I am supposed to eat in if claiming prize but this time he would let it slide!! I really don't understand that! I still have to buy a burger to get a burger so why should company care if I take it away or eat it there!! He did say that they were trying to get people in the restaurant on Monday nights, but i dont really see the necessity. They still make there money from the promotion so no problems and I think it's a good promotion so I imagine they are a hell of alot busier on Monday nights than they use to be!!!
