Loved the flavours of the food here, and menu items that set them apart from more typical Viet eatery offerings. Our order: * N2 pho bo tai lan / stir fried rare beef pho, $14 - sliced rare beef, noodle, beansprouts, basil * S10 bun cha / northern grilled pork noodle, $16 - grilled pork patties, pork belly, fresh herbs, noodle, warm nuoc cham * G3 bap bo ca phao / beef shin with eggplants, $16 - beef shin, Vietnamese eggplants, onion, roasted sesame, pickles, mints From my perspective, each dish had something special/different going for it, so it was all pretty exciting. The pho is different to your standard one as the beef isn't raw going into the soup. Instead it's been stir fried first and this infuses an extra dimension of flavour to the soup. Lovely. It was my first time trying bun cha, and whilst the noodles wouldn't normally be my first choice of carb, I'd happily slurp it up when the accompanying pork patty is grilled so invitingly and the sauce so moreish. Another winner. We chose the salad to add another point of difference, and were totally surprised by the eggplants in this dish as they were quite firm and resembled cherry tomatoes in terms of shape/size. Didn't realise there were so many different types of eggplant! Very interesting and again flavour packed. We also tried some of their drinks selection: my companions went with the coconut juice (D4 nuoc dua $5) and the iced egg yolk soda with condensed milk (D10 soda hot ga $6). I was quite happy with my pick of the green mango pressed with salted plum (D7 xoai ep xi muoi $7), thoroughly enjoying its intensity and bursts of sourness. Worth trying. Total bill for 3 including drinks was $64, which I thought was quite reasonable for the quality of food. Will be back again! Notes: * 1.2% card surcharge * 50c for takeaway containers * water is $3 😳

Had seen and heard soo much good feedback about this place and always wanted to try but somehow we always forget about it until i see it back on my Insta feed lol 😂 . Our order: ~ Tomato Crab broth Noodle Soup (Bun Rieu) ~ Special Beef Noodle Soup (Pho dac biet) ~ Vermicelli salad with grilled Pork ~ House special Spring Rolls ~ Iced Coconut Juice ~ Iced Pressed Green Mango /w Salted Plum . I’ll start with mine, which was the Vermicelli Salad. I really liked it because the grilled pork was super aromatic with charred bits straight of the grill. A simple dish but made very nicely because of that grilled, charred pork 🤤🤤 . Dad-in-law got the Pho. It looked decently sized with good portions of broth, noodle and meat. I think the feedback was that it is a solid dish 👍🏻 . Wifey loves tomato broth , so she opted to try the Bun Rieu. Suffice to say this was a little bit of a let down cos it was quite bland and doesn’t come with the crabby eggy bits that other places usually serve this dish with 🙁 . The spring rolls were average as well. I like the concept using of rice paper roll wrapping to make it but in practice after frying, it was not crunchy but instead turned into a rather hard wrapping 🥺 . I’ma sucker for anything salted plum, soo i loved that green mango drink 🤩 . I think we’re glad we finally tried it out. Some hit and misses from our first experience but positively I can say the portions are decently sized and their pricing is still pretty cheap compared to others around the area 👍🏻

I have been to a variety restaurants and are confident that this restaurant has the most expensive lettuce leaves in Australia or the owner really hate lettuce. Read on to find out why. The good: the restaurant has good service and food come out fairly quickly The bad: The food, from what i eat and my taste bud. It is a 6 out of 10. Taste and value for money is not there in this restaurant. The fry rice that our family order is dry and chewy. I can't remember the last time eating fry rice where i have to remind myself to chew carefully because the rice is dry and chewy. The Ha Noi grill fish doesn't have a lot of taste. It came with rice noodle and one medium and one small lettuce and a little bit of herb. You assume the dish is for rolling your own wrap in lettuce leaves so lettuce leaves run out pretty quickly. Ask for some more and was told one more serving of lettuce is $3. Then it come out on a small tray with.......4 more lettuce leaves...Queue face with shock expression. Anyway, thanks for reading and i do believe there are better food and better value in other Vietnamese restaurant.

Always happy when we have food from here! The service was quick and super friendly! The food was excellent! We ordered Seafood fried rice, pork and prawn rice rolls, savoury pancakes, beef rice noodles rolls, vegetable spring roll, special beef pho, shredded chicken pho, tea kumquat, Vietnamese milk coffee and coconut juice .

The seafood fried rice was delicious got the perfect amount of wok smell, the only thing was i would like bit more salty flavour into it 8/10. The pork and prawn rice roll was delicious and the sauce was perfectly balanced 9.5/10. The savoury pancakes is my favourite dish whenever i come here but on the day went this time just lack bit of salt in it as well but the prawn and the pancake itself was cook perfectly and the pancake was nice and crispy 8/10 and the dipping sauce was god good ! I asked for more !. The beef noodle rolls was so yum 9.5/10 with the dipping sauce it was boom flavours in your mouth! The vegetables spring rolls also one of my favourite! But i normally dip it with the dipping sauce that comes with the savoury pancakes 🥰 9.5/10 . The shredded chicken pho was pack with flavours ! It was delicious! With the sauce that they give and mix through it gave extra flavour boom ! Same as with the special beef pho came with pack of flavour ! The difference beef that come in with the dish it was yum! Plus with the bean sprouts and the mint just make it to another level of freshness! 9.5/10 for both! And last but not least the drinks, my partner love coffee milk drink but he was worried it was going to be to sweet but we ask for less sweet and they made it perfectly balanced with the coffee flavour! And kumquat tea and the coconut juice was refreshing! Good way to finish...
