Hakataya Ramen Garden City — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Today I was served a 150% effort bowl of ramen at Hakataya Westfield Garden City. It's been a really long time since I've had a bowl so flavoursome and it tasted better than Ichiran ramen in Japan.

The team was 1 cheerful western and 1 asian male. I could tell from the way they worked that they have worked extremely hard to master the recipe. They bounced swiftly left and right to serve all of their customers and was cheerful and precise in setting the bowl. I left a compliment and went home with a full belly.

I was really pleased. Others also commented, "that was so good" during my dine in . I also noticed the kitchen was really clean, dry floors and tidy storage area for the little space they had to hang their bag.

I have been a customer at Hakataya Ramen for more than 10 years and had a break from buying around 4-5 years ago when I noticed a change in team which resulted in a blander taste all around Brisbane. This is the first time to have tasted such a great flavour again and I really want to commend the two team who worked there.

Passion and hard work I'm sure the Lord does not despise! Great work Garden city team! 2.30pm 10 March...

II have been to Hakataya Ramen at Gardencity since 2014 and never had any problem. However I had a terrible experience on my birthday at Hakataya Ramen on the 26/03/2022. I was having my free birthday noodle and a male staff was really rude, bad attitude and no courtesy. He didn't say hello, thank you or happy birthday to me at all. I feel like he doens't want to work there. The worst thing is he dropped a pen on the floor and picked it up without changing gloves. He did't wipe the pen and kept making noodles for customers. Everyone should pay attention to the hygiene during the COVID19 pandemic.

I really like Hakataya Ramen and would like to enquire the manager or owner to investigate this incident. Otherwise I don't want to go there again.

As it has almost been two months since the incident happend, the owner has not replied, responed or investigated the incident, pi would like to make an offical compliant to Qld health food safety department and get them to be invovled to investigate if the onwer do not reply or respond to this...

I was waiting in the line to order, suddenly the guy at the cashier station unhooked his apron and had a long chat with other girls who were making ramen next to and walked away from the shop without saying any.

There was a man waiting for his turn to order, and he and me we waited about 10 minutes trying to get attention from them.

After that one of the staff kicked out my wife who was seating at the table and waiting for me to order, because I had not ordered. She kept saying 'please order first! Please order first!' Like a recorder and drove her to outside of the shop.

But how could I order when there was no one to look after customers?

Ramen here is ok for its price, so I come by and eat often, but to be honest, service here is so terrible.

I would rate them minus, if I could. Every time I go there so disappointed by...
