Island View Cafe — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Saw the reviews and initially was a bit hesitant but the staff were amazing and friendly. Very helpful with the selections of fish and what was on display looked fresh and home made stuff actually looked home made. The coral trout was actually coral trout, years of fishing I have seen a lot of places fake it but this was just beautiful. Calamari was home breaded and the chips were good! Home made pork spring rolls were meaty and a nice change to the mass produced. All in all everything was great quality and all four of us agreed that the fish was some of the best we’ve had in a long time....

OMG, certainly not in the business for return customers. Bought a hotdog and it was cut in half length ways and fitted end to end with only 1/2 of the frankfurt. That is downright disgraceful to not have a full proper frankfurt in a hotdog! For $2 more the food van up the road gives you a full frankfurt with the lot! What will you do next, dice it and try to cheat us that way? We chose this place because the other place 2 doors down was full! These guys had very few customers, so we assumed less wait time. I didn't consider being so ripped off!...

By far the best fish and chips in Wynnum. My family and I have never been disappointed in the food or service from the Island View Cafe. The food is always fresh and the servings more than adequate.
