Josie North — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Everything about this cafe is FANTASTIC! The name choice, the coffee, their great tasting food & dish presentation, teamed with the friendly, professional service in a space which has a really lovely, clean & fresh vibe. I loved it as soon as I walked in. For a small cafe it surprised me just how roomy it was. I loved the long wooden table in the middle, & the narrow window seating. They do have seating outside but I liked being inside. It absolutely deserves 5 stars, some people are way too picky, so disregard their incorrect low star ratings because you will miss out on a rather lovely dining experience! These hard working & truly dedicated people are doing a great job, the only problem I can see is people, like me, don’t realise they are located in this narrow arcade, being a West Ender I wish they could move to West End❤️. I do try out lots of Brisbane cafes, Josie North is now in my Google Maps “saved” places, & I’m pretty fussy about my favourite selections. I loved their minted avocado & lemon, with fried egg on sour dough toast, their delicious side of tomato jam was primo. I think their pared back menu concept is refreshing and absolutely spot on, great ingredients made with love are the kind of meals we dream about, long after you leave. I’m looking forward to more simple dining experiences at Josie North, and I’m now kicking myself I didn’t find this...

We had a lovely time at Josie North this morning! The staff here are so kind and excellent at service. The black tea is a very mild flavour and the coffee is a more bitter flavoured bean. If you're not into sweeter coffee, you'll like the acidity of theirs. The food was absolutely delicious. The chicken Sanga with the added avocado I got was fantastic. They basically add at least half an avocado to the sandwich, which is fantastic value for their prices. The addition of the mint and lemon really finishes it perfectly. It's a huge portion size too. The breakfast burger was delicious too! I never usually like bacon, but my friend made me Try their burger and it is probably one of the few bacon's I've tried that I'm like Oh wow that's GOOD BACON, plus its so thick/well portioned. Not chewy at all either. So if you love bacon, you'll LOOVE their breakfast burger.

Josie North is a small cafe, serving a nice breakfast and brunch to residents of Toowong and surrounds.

Loved the decor, and I personally wish I had the ability to grow plants at my house as well as you've grown the little vines that creep around the cosy cafe. It has a really nice aesthetic and I enjoyed my time there.

Coffee and food was small, but still fairly filling. It was cheap too, but you've not really getting amazing value because the serving sizes are a little on the small size. I got the falafels for $16 which were amazing, but my friend got the avocado on toast (also $16) and thought that it was a little plain for a $16 meal.

Coffee was honestly one of the best coffees I've had though....
