Heeretea franchise (Toowong Store) 👨‍🍳Service: Basic, standard, straight to the point service. Attentive staff. Fast order and collection. (5 min wait after ordering, with 3 people in front of us.)

🌃Vibe: Bright, colourful and modern. Great for hangouts with mates.

🍼Drinks: Cheese Cookies n Cream Bubble Milk Tea (Little Sugar, Little Ice) and Oreo Cheese Milk Tea (Less Sugar, Little Ice)

Cheese Cookies n Cream Bubble Milk Tea: Black pearls were yummy, not too chewy, not overly sweet either. Made perfectly on the day. The cheese foam was also very tasty. A great combination with some cookies on top. However, it’s a shame that the milk tea itself was quite watery and bland. Oreo Cheese Milk Tea: Again the cheese foam and the Oreo cookies were great, but the milk tea was bland and watery. They used the same type of cookies for the above two drinks. (Tastes exactly the same, just without the boba) Note: I tend to get little or half sugar, as most drinks include a lot of sugar syrup and a bit too sweet for my own tasting. If you like sugary drinks, you can keep them at 75% or 100% sugar level. We also tend to get little ice, as you get more tea instead of melted ice cube water. If you’re doing delivery or driving the milk tea home, probably should get half ice instead of little, as the drinks taste better cold, especially in the sunny state queensland during summer.

🚙Parking: Plenty of parking inside of Toowong Village or the carpark opposite of Heeretea. Both are two hours of free parking.

TLDR: extremely rude servers, will not be coming back

Longer post: Very rarely do I ever leave bad reviews for businesses, but the experience I just went through at Heeretea Toowong has left me extremely infuriated, humiliated, and insulted. I ordered a Grape Yakult and must have mispronounced the word 'yakult', because for the entirety of my time waiting at the shop for my drink to be made, the three servers were mocking me behind my back in Chinese.

I'm mixed-race (Caucasian/Asian), but am generally white-passing. However, I spent a majority of my life growing up in China, and thus understand both Mandarin and Cantonese perfectly. The three girls working were making extremely rude remarks about my mispronunciation while making my drink, and also rude remarks about '老外' (foreigners) in general — most likely not realizing that I understand 100% of what they're talking about (as I spoke to them in English). Considering how nonchalant they'd been while basically trash-talking me behind my back makes me think that this kind of behavior is very common, and that non-Chinese customers are often ridiculed by the servers.

Overall, a terrible customer service experience, and I won't be coming back. And to the servers who were trashing me: if my mispronunciation of 'yakult' bothered you so much, you're free to tell me to my face, instead of mocking me in a language you think I can't understand. Peace ✌

EDIT: I see that there's been a very sudden influx of 5-star reviews immediately after me posting this 🤔 Not saying Hereetea's trying to salvage their star ratings or hide my one star...

Absolutely love this place! New Tea & Dessert (Heeretea) is hands down one of the best spots in Brisbane for bubble tea and sweet treats!

The bubble tea is consistently delicious — rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. I tried their Brown Sugar Boba Milk and it was out of this world! Soft pearls, just the right amount of sweetness, and a warm caramel flavour that hits the spot every time. Highly recommend their fruit teas too — super refreshing and not too sweet!

The desserts are a must-try. Their soufflé pancakes are like fluffy clouds of joy, and the matcha flavour is amazing! Also loved their mango sago — light, creamy, and packed with flavour.

The ambience is modern and cozy — perfect for a catch-up with friends or even a solo treat-yourself moment. The staff are always welcoming and friendly, and the service is fast.

Clean space, great music, and reasonable prices. I keep coming back, and it never disappoints!

10/10 experience — highly recommend! Fave spot in the city for a sweet break!
