Little Clive Café is an amazing aesthetic cafe that eveyone should go to. The workers were extremely kind especially two of them I didn’t get there name but there were one was South Korea and the other was either Thailand or Philippines, with dyed hair. They were so kind and caring and working extremely hard. I liked how the menu had viet options since the owner is Vietnamese but also western and other options the pices were pretty good for the portion sizes. They were filling and came out a little slower than expected but that was fine that was probably the only problem . The matcha latte was probably one of the best ones I’ve tried in cafes/restuanrs. But it just lacked a litttle more flavour because it the viert coffe that I love was a little bit too overpowering so I would just say add more matcha powder so you can test it some more. But other than the taste it was so aesthetic I didn’t even want to drink it Bec it was so pretty and I definitely did not take a bunch of photos of that own drink . But let’s begin to talk about the food. The presentation on my Buddha bowl was just so amazing I DIDNZMT want to touch it. But why wouldn’t u not wanan touch it was neatly put together with a beautiful flower of a avocado in the middle the mushrooms were nice but lacked flavour and the source wasn’t a very good combination together but still amazing . The vegetables tasted fresh and the rice tasted nicely seasoned ajd flyffly. Now onto the scenery ,it was just so aesthetic. Loved the fake plants one of the best cafes taht were able to make a cafe and incorporate fake plans that gave nice nature vibes. Calcite seats and chairs everywhere and amazing scenery. I recommend this everyone amazing place loved it and hopefully going back soon. I rate it a 10000000000000/10 because it awww just so good keep up the good work...
Read moreI went to Little Clive this morning (Saturday) after an earlier appointment. I was walking with a pram, and it was difficult to access (both the car park (without using the driveway) and then the store level (I couldn’t see any ramp down sections in the high gutter). After ordering I went to the toilet, with my toddler in the pram. Again, it was inaccessible with the pram without mounting curbs (no chance with a wheelchair!). There was not enough space in the cubicle, so I had to park the pram in the hand washing area, leave the door open and go to the toilet.
Those things are about the centre, which I imagine LC has little control over. Now as for the cafe itself…
Thankfully they did have a high chair which I made use of. Bub was getting grumpy, so I went to the counter to ask if they could bring the fruit toast out ahead of the eggs. The barista said, “I’m making coffees. The kitchen looks after that.” She was not only unhelpful, but her tone was rude and was such a strong reaction to my mildly phrased request. Fair enough, she’s been allocated a job, but she could have at least suggested that I speak to the other counter staff member, as she didn’t have capacity right now. To the other staff member’s credit, she took the initiative to come over when she heard our discussion. She checked what I was asking for and actioned it. Not only that, but she brought over a kid’s activity pack and offered it to us. That was unexpected and amazing.
As for the food, the presentation was excellent, with a special touch of edible flowers on the plate. The fruit toast was enjoyable. The scrambled eggs with a side of bacon, had SO much bacon (it was disproportionate, although on the other hand made the steep $5 price tag more reasonable. The eggs were disappointing, quite oily and...
Read moreOn the day that we went we were told that there would be no food served from the kitchen for breakfast and the only thing available was the counter food. Which is probably the most odd thing considering it is supposed to be a restaurant. Why open at all when you can't fulfill what you advertise? Considering there was 2-3 people on the front of house I found not having the kitchen open quite strange and didn't offer me the opportunity to get the full "experience". Needless to say, I took the risk and walked in.
We were "greeted" and served by a particularly rude and standoffish girl that seemed like she didn't want to be there. Every interaction with her felt as though we had just killed her puppy. I've worked in the hospitality industry for a large portion of my working life and never experienced so much negativity. Perhaps she was just having a bad day? Or perhaps more training is required.
The coffee was eh. I make better coffee at home and I'm really bad at it
You received one star for the quality of the cabinet food (croissants) which was reasonable even though it was not what I had planned.
I gave another star for the gentleman behind the counter for the contrast of positive attitude when I paid and left.
This was my second visit to this restaurant and both times I've felt that something important...
