I don’t know where to begin really, other than this is quite possibly the worst restaurant in Brisbane. A large group of girlfriends and I dined here last night where we were forced into their Banquet menu (which from the looks of it, looked plentiful and delicious).... Wow, we could not have been MORE disappointed! Not only was there no where near enough food to feed 10 people but it was quite possibly the worst Italian food I’ve ever eaten. All 10 of us got food poisoning from this atrocious restaurant, and have been paying for it all day today! The seafood pasta tasted like they basically just opened a box of shells and dumped it on a plate. It was so hard it literally chipped my tooth. No flavour in any of the dishes and everything was either under cooked or overcooked! Absolute terrible experience and rip off! None of us have any intention of going back to that restaurant or the rooftop bar as the bartenders up there are all super rude! One Bartender even told me he hated his job and hates working for the Fantauzzo! Well that was clear in the horrid service we received all night! This place is a big fat NO THANK YOU!!!!!
In response to your response Jason... Please do not go on here and lie saying that my group did not got food poisoning, or that you have tried to contact me and or that you have spoken to my group. None of that is true. And if you scroll down to other comments, you will see other complaints of food poisoning at your terrible restaurant. I will send you an e-mail privately and we can further discuss our terrible,...
Read moreThe service at this establishment is beyond a laugh as there just isn't any. Upon the first day of dinning for breakfast I waited in a near empty space for over half an hour for my coffee, during this time no waited approached me to take my order. After this time I approached the staff and then two coffees appeared, I was charged for both and one was the original coffee which had been sitting and was stone cold. Breakfast took well over an hour for eggs and a granolla bowl.
The second morning of breakfast, I stood to be seated (with no one in front of me and staff free) for a good 5 minutes, again after being seated, no staff member came to take my order and I had to call a waiter for a coffee and then again to order food. Our meal of poached eggs again took a substantial amount of time and I had to ask the waiter for the time line on breakfast as it was so late we had to reschedual our check out of the Crystalbrook. Breakfast was 1 slice of burnt toast with poached eggs and bacon for $21, nothing stood out for the price point or the other options around HSW and in Brisbane.
This establishment diminishes the experience of staying at the Crystalbrook. It doesn't meet the mark or your busy average cafe in the city and certainly falls short of the standard set by the Crystalbrook. I would not recommend this venue as there as so many beautiful cafes around HSW for a better price and a much...

Polpetta is a new restaurant in the greatest new location in Brisbane.
Located in Howard Smith Wharves at The Fantauzzo hotel, one of the Art Series Hotels with a rooftop bar.
As you enter the hotel lobby you are welcomed by a magnificent setting, with artwork by Vincent Fantauzzo. For those who do not book a table and are waiting, this is a beautiful space in which to wait and pass the time.
Polpetta is a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
I visited for breakfast on the first day of opening and my experience was excellent.
The menu offers a wide variety of breakfast staples.
I ate Polpetta Benedict and my friend Scrambled Eggs.
Both meals were delicious and use fresh produce.
