Centenary Park — Attraction in Brisbane City

Took a quick wander through this park, which borders Fortitude Valley & Spring Hill. It it a leafy oasis which is located smack bang in the middle of busy roads. There were only a few people there at the time. You can read the statues, find a quiet spot to take in the sun or sit on a bench in the shade. There were a few bins here but no public toilets. You can't park here at all. You'll need to catch a bus or park in a neighbouring street...

Pretty good spot overall. My friend and I spent a couple of hours there, wandering around and just sitting back. It’s neat without being too polished, which I actually liked. A beautiful pocket of green, which is rare in the Valley. They have quite a few benches which have been clean and in the shade every time I've visited.

It's nice to read about the history of the statues but could someone please tell me what that bard is sitting on? I honestly can't work it out.

The roads around can be a bit tricky, so be careful since not everyone in this area...
