Fiume Rooftop Bar — Restaurant in Brisbane City

WORSE NEW YEARS PACKAGE I HAVE EVER PURCHASED. I have been to multiple new years events and this was by far the MOST EXPENSIVE and MOST DISAPPOINTING one that I have EVER been to. FALSE ADVERTISING, FALSE PROMISES, and DECEPTIVE VISUALS posted to advertise this package.

I have previously been to Fiume on multiple occasions for brunches and drinks. I usually LOVE the atmosphere and cocktails which is what made me choose this package however I can not even begin to express how disappointed I am.

I paid $259 per person ($518 for two people) for a Four-hour beverage package including “signature cocktails” under the assumption that it would include one of of the 12 “Fiume Signature cocktails” the advertising was deceptive and misleading considering none of those 12 drinks were actually included in the four hour package. There were actually only two cocktails that you could choose from at the “cocktail bar” these were also on tap.

Despite drinking 6 cocktails I was unable to even get tipsy which resulted in me buying cocktails from the bar. Drinks were not being collected in a timely manner they were left sitting on the benches for long amounts of time also benches were not wiped down. Such a mess. Also there were not enough seats to accommodate how many people they had on the rooftop.

To my surprise there was a DJ…not sure where he was located as the music played outside was mainly instrumental you could barely hear anything playing at all which is why I was surprised to read another review that claimed that there actually was a DJ

FINALLY - NO COUNT DOWN FOR NEW YEARS for a new years package. That had to be the biggest joke. Fireworks were seen at a distance which indicated to everyone that it was actually new years. Nothing but confusion and silence of everyone at 12:00pm

I think everyone who purchased a tickets for this event should be compensated in some sort of way. Disappointing and deceptive...

Really nice location in a comfortable and secluded area. However the service lacked the positivity and friendliness I was expecting from a place like this. I read in other reviews that some of the staff have a bit of a condescending attitude and thats exactly what we received today. We were asked to order from a table barcode, which I understand is now more common with things going a bit more technological these days, but I was asked to include a tip even though no service ("pleasant service") had been given to us. We the politely asked for water, and we were assured some will be served, the girl that was told to bring some for our table ignored us so I had to ask for it again. I was then told water was available for self service even though the prvious waiter said they'd bring it. She made it sound like she was going out of her way to bring water and told me that despite water being self service she'd bring it to us. I smiled and thanked her. Next minute I see other customers getting water brought to their table. The inconsistency in service is so frustrating specially when you are made to feel as though you are asking too much.

Sadly after readying reviews I noticed that most positive reviews get a lengthy and thankful reaponse from the owners, but the "not so great reviews" are ignored which is a very poor buisness practice in the eyes of constructive criticism.

This review im leaving here is not to stop readers from going elsewhere, but a review for their business attitude and general service to improve so we can all, as paying customers get a consistent and friendly service.

Also... 13 dollars for that TINY bowl of chips is pushing...

My visit to Fiume has some mixed reviews. My partner and I came to the bar for an early Valentine's celebration this year, made a booking and walked into the building, security saw us and ignored us, we then assumed we should catch the lift straight to the bar, however realised we are unable to access without a tag. We then asked the door-man/security how we access and he advised he has to check our booking, took about 5 mins to locate our booking and he was having side conversations with other guests while doing so. Eventually when we were let up we found that the vibe of the bar was beautiful, especially for that afternoon.

The seating however was not very comfortable, with heavy high chairs noisily dragging on the floor and uncomfortable to get in and out of the seat. The recommended way to order drinks and food was via an app/QR scan site, through which there were additional charges just to use this type of service for every order we made and we were not given an alternate option to order. The drinks were delicious though, and views were really nice depending on where you are sitting, we had a nice spot and enjoyed watching the clouds roll by. Food-wise, we ordered some calamari - delicious, amazing aioli and not greasy. We also ordered a cheese platter - would've liked to have known the cheese and meats selection because they were not the same as the picture on the menu or the...
