This is a Concept Ate company and after visiting the store I contacted the head office regarding their poor allergen information and the fact that staff in store are telling customers different info than the companies offical allergen information says (not just at Mt Gravatt). Customer service repeatedly passed the buck and blamed the stores for doing the wrong thing. In the end they told me, “We recommend customers use this resource to ensure they have the latest information when placing their orders.” Which in my option is just their way of passing the buck again. In my exchanges they repeated all of the naff corporate rubbish about how much they care and take allergen information seriously but it turns out that it’s the customers job to know that the staff don’t have any idea what they are doing and that somewhere there is a magical QR code you have to find. If you don’t find the QR code and you believe the staff then you are just a stupid customer.
Staff in different noodle box stores will tell you that the 2 fried rice dishes are gluten free but the official allergen info says they contain wheat. According to Concept Ate, this is the fault of the stores and stupid customers not using the QR code they recommend… although nobody actually recommended this to me in the store.
I would hope that a celiac wouldn’t fall for the staff confidently telling them that those dishes are gluten free and it’s just idiot gluten intolerant people like me that...
Read more3 strikes and out. Worst Noodlebox I've ever been to. 3 bad experiences with this place. On 1 previous occasion the vegies were overcooked and too soft. On the other occasion there was way too much sauce. 3rd time, i didnt even get to see my noodle. I was waiting on RACQ truck while the order was being made. Advised both the chef and the lady at the counter that I'd pick up the box soon, as my roadside assistance had arrived. Once i was done with racq, i forgot about the noodles and left home which is around the corner, literally 2 mins drive. When realised, I called them right away at 8.55 and told them that im on my way. The lady went ballistic and said that they were already closed (excuse me, if youre closed how come you just answered the phone). Anyways, she obviously didnt want to wait, even for 60 secs as i was so close. She finally offered to leave the box at the Kebab shop nextdoor. When i arrived, the kebab shop was closed, clearly she knew about it. Couldve left it outside the door if not anything. Cant give 1/2 star, soo giving 1 star. Service - poor; rude and appalling. persistent on offering ingredients that i clearly didnt want. Food - below average Ambience - broken stool near entrance been there for weeks with no warning signs.
The is one bad apple for the Noodlebox chain. Shocked if these guys are even allowed to run the franchise when theyre ruining...
Read moreI’ve been coming here for almost 10 years. I come less and less now because it just gets worse and worse. Ever since the new owners took over and all these new staff they’ve had, the food is just always terrible. Every time I go to another noodle box around Brisbane, it’s authentic, it tastes good and it’s what I want how I’ve ordered it. The operators of this noodle box detract from the authenticity of the food. The Satay sauce is always tasteless, what are you doing? Watering it down??? It tastes so much better everywhere else. I ask for mild chili, and all I can taste and smell is overwhelming chilli. I asked for extra hot in one meal, and the chilli is so overwhelming in the mild dishes it’s even hotter than the extra hot. I use to come weekly/fortnightly. Then monthly, and now it’s been 3 months and I will never return. Worst Noodle box in Australia, stay away from these people. They can barely take your order and they certainly can’t cook your food authentically. You’ll know what I mean by...
