Terrible experience! Had their worker call me to tell me they didn’t have the items I ordered via Ubereats and to make up for it she pursued the sale anyways suggesting other similar items after telling her I didn’t want anything extra. Then after telling her to cancel the items off my Uber order she confirms it’ll be done. We get off the phone, then I see the App telling me it’s still coming my address with the unfulfilled items. At this point it’s an easy call, surely it’s a mistake so I call. I ask why the order is appearing on the app without an amendment to deduct the unfulfilled items. She tells me she tried calling Uber to sort it and I know for a fact that Ubereats provides training to operators on how to submit stock issue refunds. She goes on to say I should call Uber myself to sort the problem lol what a crock. I wore the cost at first, luckily Ubereats was gracious enough to refund me and chase up their loss with these guys. It was clear she didn’t want to lose money which is understandable in this climate but don’t do this! Everybody is feeling the pinch don’t make your pain somebody else’s and if that’s not the case then don’t be greedy. This was a first and definitely LAST time I’ll be ordering from...
Read moreBeen here a couple of times and had issues with the parking, it is so difficult to find a spot to park, the trading hours do not match the google listed hours either. First time I went the cafe was shut, even though the hours listed them as open.
There is a lady with dark black hair that has served us each time and she isn't very chatty, a bit abrupt and stand offish.
They seem to prioritise their regulars, for example telling me some food was out of stock, then the customer after me asked for the same thing, the lady went and checked the ingredients (her words), then was able to pull it together for him. He made a comment about how he was a "regular".
Food was tasty, but disappointing to see them using ingredients from the supermarkets, rather than utilising local suppliers.
There are so many great suppliers around the area and the prices for some of the food, is a bit excessive considering ingredients are from the supermarkets.
I also found the food to not be consistent over visits.
I don't normally do reviews, but disappointed after the whole "regular" incident and just the attitude of the...
Read moreRe post below about fire risk. I'm a resident of the building too. I was in the cafe drinking some of the best coffee around after the alarm went off too, along with numerous others.
For all other readers' knowledge, Pablos is on the ground floor and directly opening onto the road!! The fire engines and reported fire, were on the other side of the building totally. There was no risk, and there would have been plenty of warning had there been.
There is no way anybody could have got trapped and put anybody, let alone Firies, at risk. I don't know what axe you are trying to grind, but it isn't one that comes of knowing fire risk (I'm an architect) or the family involved as I have come to from frequenting Pablo's nearly every day.
You couldn't find a more well meaning family, who care for their customers and people in general and who personally cook on the premises some of the most genuine, tasty and 'cooked with care and love' food anywhere.
You are so far off the mark, it's not funny. It raises the question as to...
