Cute and delicious smelling little corner store. Inviting & toasty inside. Very intimate style setting. Busy around the 10.30am mark! Breaky and brunch favourite for sure.
Had an espresso and a vanilla milkshake while waiting for my car to be done just down the road.
Rustic style espresso, reminds me of a boldness of a Robusta kick at first followed by the smoothness of that semi bitter throat grab and then a finish of a full bodied buzz.
I also downed a vanilla milkshake on the second time round. The first one that was delivered was poured into either a warm glass, or the milk wasn't cold (lac free from carton) and wasnt the nicest to sip. The lovely chicas were too happy to remake it for me and it was near perfect the second time round. I could taste the flavour was diluted a smidge by Ice cubes that had been thrown into the blender however the sweetness of some lactose free milks can be a little overpowering and this was a good call. I might start doing the same at home. Thanks for fixing this.
I'm getting up for another espresso before I leave, of course. Thanks for keeping my morning a relaxed and enjoyable one!...
Read moreThe joint is jumping. A hole in the wall place that has busted out onto a street corner. Looks like a Korean family runs the place but the menu is varied and somewhat original I had a breakfast burrito which was very good and the long black was excellent They promote their burgers but next time it will be the Korean Bulgogi Omelet. Popular, great value and a keeper Update: I went back for the Korean Bulgogi Omelet and it was great. I went for lunch and had the burger and drink special. 4/5 for the burger. Always good service. Update 2 Moved to the Gabba, so let's try the brekkie. OK. It's super Marsala chai with honey and unique Korean chicken eggs benny, a twist on a twist but a surprisingly great twist. They do have a dog's breakfast, btw, not what you are thinking because it's a vego dog. Oh yeah, all good except...
Read moreDecided to try Brown Dog Cafe. I had the Brown Dog Breakfast. Mushrooms, avocado, Soft Poached Eggs, Tomato, Spinach, Halloumi and Soughdour. The eggs were really nice, as was the Halloumi Cheese, cooked very much to my liking. The Soughdour would have been easier to cut if it was toasted better.
It’s come quite apparent many cafes only give you one slice of bread/soughdour these days. If the order comes with two eggs, then two slices of bread should be included!
My wife had the Beans on Toast. Quite a small potion I must say. We also both had the Green Machine Smoothie, which was ok.
The service was...
