I prefer to post positive reviews! The objective of Google reviews is to inform others about your experience. Your personal time with your family & friends is precious, as is your hard earned money. This restaurant should be 100% successful, read their older reviews, but something has gone very wrong! On arrival we waited 45 minutes for a table, the restaurant was busy & we were walk ins, we accepted the wait, thinking it would be worth it. We were shown to our table, they explained you fill in an order form, then queue at the back counter. There is no Cart service & the number of dishes was surprisingly limited, which was disappointing, but we joined the queue hoping the food was going to be good! There were approx 20+ people in line, it moved painfully slowly. The waitress provided our table with a pot of green tea, cups and a large hot water jug, but I realised that was the end of any attentive service, you needed the hot water to refill your teapot & quench your hunger. We waited over an 1 hour in the queue. The table next to us, were a young group of Chinese professionals, they told me they had waited nearly 2 hours, their food was cold & not the quality they expected, telling me this place had changed since Covid. They were very angry & said they wouldn’t come back! I considered leaving, you are charged a $2 seating fee per person, we had our tea, we were hungry so we hoped the food would make up for it! You present your order form at a back counter, the busy servers scramble around to get your dishes. A refrigerated food cabinet was leaking, a large sheet was tucked under it, their food counter is positioned next to the toilets. They didn’t appear to have enough staff, priority seems to go towards serving the private banquet rooms. You are handed a tray piled with dishes & have to get it back to your table. All of our dishes were lukewarm, not the piping hot food you’d expect from a normal Yum Cha. The soy & chilli condiments were disappointingly small for our table of 3. The soy sauce seemed like a low quality sauce. The fun of Yum Cha carts is the interaction with the servers, the variety of food options & the experience of sharing a meal with loved ones, friends or business colleagues, you also have the ability to keep ordering additional food if hungry. It feels like they are cutting corners to keep their costs down. Ordering at the back counter slows the whole dining experience, you remain longer, get angrier & order less. We also went home hungry! Nobody wanted to join the queue again! The food & service was extremely disappointing, don’t waste your time or money. I’ve been going to various Yum Cha restaurants for 30+ years, I’ve worked in Hong Kong, lived in Howick, NZ, and travelled to other countries, this was my worst Yum Cha experience! I hope they get their business...

WARNING: Be wary of Parkland Chinese restaurant in Sunny Park shopping centre, Sunnybank QLD. This restaurant is big, formal but has nothing to savour for. Had to say the worst of the worst , ‘dodgy’ service was below our expectations especially due to the fact we were at a “Wedding Reception”. Their menu food was served poorly. All food was served in different proportions, noodles sticking out of serving bowls out of negligence, cold and as if it was reusable leftover food from the night before, under-seasoned and was served by an untrained waiter. Honestly, I’d rather dine in a cheap, local take away shop provided I drove all the way up from interstate, expecting at least a decent standard of food.

I have raised concerns to the manager that one of the dishes on the menu tasted poorly and he didn’t have the time to come for a chat and find out why. Took my food away and never came back with a replacement.

Furthermore, due to negligence and carelessness, they unbelievably SKIPPED one of my favourite dishes listed on the menu. I reminded the waiter who later brought it out over-cooked and salty.

Complained to the waiter again but was ignored. My kids had a “kids” table. They went home with complaints of poorly cooked food and were followed up with an upset stomach EACH. Lucky, we didn’t eat most of the food served as we could not afford to let it sink in.

This restaurant doesn’t deserve its certification, they ought to be audited by food inspectors and I really wouldn’t be surprised if they receive a huge fine.

Don’t like to review and complain about others but this becomes personal and an exception!!!

Summary: untrained waiter, cheap hired chef/cook, imported frozen food from ????? = Manager/owner only cares about taking in his daily profits. To the manager/owner: I hope the above mentioned serves...

Bad bad bad! Worst service ever. Very poor hygiene practices! Are they trying to get us sick? This place makes me hate Chinese cuisine.

The middle aged Chinese waitress with the short hair was very rude and unapologetic. Our bowls and cups were already dirty when we sat down. We found a grain of rice in our bowl and we had not even used it yet! The tea cups had brown or yellowish stains on them near the rim.

I wanted to swap the dirty cup for a clean cup, and that lady was very grouchy and disrespectful towards me instead of apologising for the dirty crockery, and told me off for trying to get a clean cup from the other table. She could have asked politely, but she clearly doesn't know how to talk to people respectfully especially towards youth. She was so condescending! And she insisted on talking to me in Mandarin and we had already spoken before in Cantonese when ordering our food. Like take a hint, your customer clearly doesn't know mandarin, so please stop.

She also took away our clean serviette and left us with a wet serviette. She could've just kept our clean serviette there so we at least had something to wipe with.

Food was below average and very pricey! Too much corn starch in the bitter melon and beef dish, the rice had an odd watery texture and their fried fish was soggy!

Definitely not coming here again. Please pay attention to hygiene and cleanliness, food quality and your customer needs. These people clearly don't know how to run a restaurant, or they just hate their jobs so much they neglect all 3 criteria 🙄 I urge everyone to not come here. It's...

Came for lunch at Parkland for yum cha with a group of 5. It's a popular venue based on the amount of other diners. We were asked what type of tea we wanted upon arrival and was seated promptly. The tea was brought over not long after we were seated with an accompanying jug of hot water. This is a great idea as you can refill the teapot yourself as needed. For yum cha you mark the items you want on the piece of paper then hand it to a staff member. There was lots to choose from. More options for yum cha then other restaurants I've been to. The food that arrived was tasty. They forgot to bring out a couple of dishes we ordered but I suppose that didn't matter because we were full. Luckily you only get charged when the food arrives (they put a mark against the type of dish on a different piece of paper bill). There was only one chilli & sauce bowl for the table but you can request more. No water was served not sure if you need to ask for it. While staff were prompt and smile wouldn't have gone astray.
