Went in the weekend with high hopes of a fantastic dining experience, but was bitterly disappointed. My partner and I ordered the banquets, and the starters came through fine, however after that things came to a halt. The restaurant was reasonably busy, so we didn't want to be pushy, but after half-an-hour we asked the waiter what had happened to the rest of the meal, and he said 'we'd finished' the banquet. That clearly wasn't right as we hadn't had any mains which he acknowledged, but still nothing seemed to be happening on the food front. After finishing our bottle of wine, we ended up complaining to the manager who said she would sort it out. She brought out a cold plate of prawns to fill the gap, however after another 20 minutes nothing further happened with the mains, and it was pretty clear our meal was over, and we shouldn't be expecting much further, so decided to cut our losses and leave... My partner in particular was shocked at how rude and un-helpful the (female) manager was: it was almost if she somehow blamed us for the problem. She had promised to get things moving on our mains but 20 minutes later nothing had happened and it was pretty clear nothing else was going to happen on the mains' front, or the rest of the 'banquet' for that matter! We were a little gobsmacked that they still charged us for one full banquet meal even though neither of us had got past the first third (the starters) and none of the mains had actually even turned up. Appalling customer service and terrible...

Don’t get the banquet ( $65) with a large group of you want value for money and a full meal ! We were a group of 9 and probably got food that would have fed 6 -7 people at the most . Most dishes weren’t big enough for all of our group to share and those that were we got a small mouthful each . A few from our group had to go to Maccas afterwards as they were still hungry . Would’ve been a whole bunch cheaper if we just bought those exact same dishes instead of the banquet . Most of the food was good except for some meat on the bone that was so dry and chewy we had trouble actually getting it off the bone and onto plates ( obviously being share meals we could hardly gnaw on the bone ) . We did get a few entrees but for main we got 2 very small bowls of rice , 2 small bowls of pork , one other small meat dish and a greens dish .for 9 people this was no where near enough as each bowl was a normal serve for 3 people max . I’ve seen some of the photos Other people have put up and we didn’t get as much food as some of the smaller groups have in the past , but price seems to have gone up too so obviously you’re now getting less food for more money. The room itself was dark , echoey and noisy. Not suitable if you actually want to talk to anyone . The only positives were that the drinks were quite good and the service seemed fast. But I certainly...

We dined here tonight and had mixed feelings about the experience. The atmosphere was genuinely lovely and the wine list is exceptional. It is one of the better selections we have come across in a while.

I ordered the noodles with cheek beef and pork dumplings. The dish was flavourful, well-cooked and quite satisfying. I would rate it a 4 out of 5 on its own.

Unfortunately, my wife’s experience was not as enjoyable. She ordered the mushroom dish, which arrived as a pile of deep-fried crispy noodles and onions, with barely any mushrooms included. The batter was heavy and the onions lacked flavour, making the dish difficult to eat. She also ordered a side of greens, which turned out to be silverbeet that was undercooked and tough. Rated 2-5 for her dish. Seriously it was a close 1 star ⭐️ it was that bad.

Service was okay. It was not rude, but fairly average and somewhat inattentive, which took away from the overall experience.

It is a shame, because the venue has a lot of potential and my meal was enjoyable. However, with such a disappointing dish on the table and the service not really lifting the overall experience, we feel a 3 out of 5 rating is a...

The food and service was fantastic. We got the $59 pp banquet and there was about 7 or 8 courses, and one of the best banquets I’ve had so far. The food was so well cooked and quite authentic, the braised pork belly and the fish cake in particular was the favourite. The only issue was that the place was unbelievably busy it was a bit uncomfortable, i would love to try the place again when it isn’t as busy. (The short rib was not included in the banquet) Update: after going again on a Wednesday night it has definitely cemented its place as my favourite restaurant in Brisbane. It was less busy, since last time I went on a Saturday night. The food was again incredible, and unlike most other restaurants every single dish we received was fantastic. Generally fancier Asian restaurants tend to be a bit of a hit or miss, but there wasn’t a single dish we didn’t love. The stand out this time around was the prawn, it was so flavourful and a bit of a surprise since earlier in the day my boyfriend had said “prawns will never be my favourite”. The workers were lovely and the food as always was fantastic.

We came without a booking for some drinks and snacks before a night out and were seated outside- which was lovely at sunset under the fairy light trees and great for a casual drink and conversation. The inside however looks super intimate and we would love to return to experience it! We ordered a few snacks with our drinks including the duck pancakes and a few dumpling plates. Whilst the dumplings were good, they weren’t extraordinary. However the duck pancakes were not enjoyable, with the confit duck leg lacking much meat and it ended up tasting very burnt and dry yet oily. There wasn’t enough cucumber or spring onion either to go with the amount of pancakes given and we were overall left very disappointed with this dish. The drinks and cocktail selection was fine and fairly priced for the drinks strength and quality, and we will totally return to experience the vibey indoor area and give the other menu options a try.
