I didn’t know Bahn Mi could be this gentrified. No patê, no mayo, no seasoning, no sauce whatsoever. We’re not cats, we shouldn’t be served plain boiled chicken. I got the lemongrass chicken and crispy skin Bahn (kill) Mi. The crispy skin Bahn Mi especially had absolutely no flavour, I don’t think they even used salt to season. So disappointing, we had to go home and season everything ourselves See pictures of the “lemongrass” Bahn Mi, it taste as bad and flavourless as it looks. The staff were very friendly and nice though

We wanted to dine in but it was just too popular and there were no parking spots left on the weekday we went. Instead we opted for take away classic Bahn mi. The bun was exceptionally crispy and there were some token pickled vegetables which ticked our veggie intake goals- well not quite. The meat, was not what we thought it would be, it was gamey and hard to chew. I look forward to trying grilled meat next time, probably better for our waistlines anyway.

I usually love this place but not today. I ordered spring rolls and there was no notice that it contained pork. I can’t eat pork. I already bit into the spring roll. They were nice enough to change with vegetable one after, but our coffee meeting was ruined. I gave input that the spring rolls should state they had pork in them. I was upset that I had to argue with the staff first for her to get the point that writing what your food contains is important for people who cant eat certain things. She even mentioned that she knows certain customers with specific dietary requirements that knows this so they dont have to write specific ingredients. Apparently this service is for certain customers only. Ive been here a few times. She said she never saw me so I should understand, by myself, being non-vietnamese, what vietnamese food contains. I really like this place but I will now rethink coming back due to...

Pho was disappointing. I ended up adding a fair amount of sriracha sauce (from own fridge) to liven it up, which I would not have felt the need to do if the broth had better flavour. It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t great either.

On a related note, I’m getting a bit sick of seeing so many restaurants using fake reviews. It’s not difficult to spot when you look at the amount of 5 star reviews relative to 4 star reviews (a genuine review section will not have significantly more 5 star reviews than 4 star). But it’s not just this place, all the restaurants seem to be...
