So very confused about how it was incredibly difficult for me to order a coffee. I’ve eaten here before and had a great experience. However I got a hot coffee.
Today I thought I’ll get an iced mocha on almond milk /decaf. Firstly it was $8.30. I thought wow I won’t come here again. But just left it. Secondly after I had sat down I was asked if I wanted the ice cream and cream on it. I said no, I wasn’t aware that was on it is that why it was so expensive? He said yes. But didn’t offer a refund for those items. Thirdly a lady came and asked me if I wanted chocolate in it since the chocolate wasn’t dairy free. This is the first time ever ordering a mocha on almond that I’ve been asked this question. I was like well I don’t know???? Surely I’m not the first person ever to ask for a mocha on almond? She then asked me if I have an intolerance is there a reason I wanted almond milk. I said well yes it’s dairy free. So the mocha isn’t a mocha on powder for some reason it’s using ice cream syrup… never had this before with a mocha.
I just felt like that was all such a hassle. When I received my iced mocha/decaf it was mediocre and a very small coffee for the price.
Great vibes for this place. Good hot coffee and food. Just seems like you can’t order a coffee that’s outside of...
Read moreThe fish and chips are consistently above average and the side salad is a refreshing way to cleanse the palette. There are lots of fish and chips around this area, but this is in my top 2. There isn't much good to be said about the burgers. The patties are subpar and almost in the realm of early 2000s mass produced stuff. In an era where even the smallest place is making their patties themselves, it is quite underwhelming. If these are in fact home made, they harken back to a time best avoided by burger fans. Chips are golden and crispy on the exterior and perfectly fluffy in the middle, in contrast to many other chippies in the area. The staff are always attentive and tables regularly cleaned. Bin chickens are a constant nuisance, but spray bottles are on every table. Unfortunately patrons (you know who you are) frequently feed them, ignoring signage encouraging them not to do so. So any effort made is thwarted by this ignorance which ruins the atmosphere. Luckily they are located in a supremely beautiful position on the waterfront, which makes the bin chickens...
Read moreHubby & I came for lunch. Arrived at 11:40am & quite a few of the menu items were sold out. It wasn’t overly busy. We settled on the chicken souvlaki & a side of chips each, along with 2 chocolate milkshakes. Order placed at 11:45am & was advised on the app a 20 minute wait. Three tables of people arrived after us. Our milkshakes arrived not long after. They were nice & cold, but being priced at $8 each was not expecting a medium sized cup for that price. Disappointing. At 12:15pm still no sign of food. I got the attention of a waitress who came back & said it would be a minute. In the meantime the 3 tables of people who had arrived after us had received their meals. When our food did arrive, we were very disappointed by our souvlaki’s. Very underwhelming. The souvlaki bread was cold. Not cooked at all. The chicken was barely warm & not much of it. Not much filling either. First time I’ve ever seen cherry tomatoes in a souvlaki. I’ve had much better souvlaki’s (& full ones at that) elsewhere. The chips were nice & hot....
