My experience is from a month ago. I went with a table of 5. We waited an hour and a half before staff realised they forgot our entrees and asked if they could come with our main, that was fine. 10 mins later 4 of our mains were brought out and still no entrees (garlic bread and mozzarella sticks). After 10 more minutes the entrees were brought out but still not 5th meal (battered fish and chips) we asked staff where it was and was told it’s coming. Another 15 mins had passed and everyone had finished their meals. I went to the counter to ask for a refund because everyone finished their meals and I hadn’t even got mine the boy on the counter said sure he’ll get the manager at the same time a girl brang my food to the table and my friends explained I was going to ask for a refund because I’d been waiting so long and everyone else was finished I didn’t want my meal anymore, I also had a 4 week old baby with me. A manager came out who was a 21 year old on a power trip telling me he will not be giving me a refund because the food was on the table myself and the table explained what happened to where he made it out like I was trying to get a free meal I hadn’t even touched it. He asked us what girl told us she’ll get us a refund and he went and had a go at the wrong girl right behind the counter infront of customers.

Really I think I should have been allowed to give my food back and get my refund because buy this stage everyone at my table was finished eating atleast 15 mins and why have a go at a girl doing the right thing and especially in front...

Where do i start. Had to wait in line for half an hour at least to order a meal, only one young girl taking orders, then the other two standing around decided to help the poor girl. Even had time to drink a pint and chat with other people. She did tell me that it would be 40 minute wait for food. I accepted that even though it didn't look that busy and we were walk ins. Well around 75 minutes after ordering one of us went up and saw the staff, after 90 minutes i went up and talked to the manager. Asked where our food was and if it was possible to get our money back. She raced off and around 10 minutes later our food arrived. Now i don't know if it's an employer thing where they don't want to employ enough people in the kitchen, but out of the 4 people in the kitchen, only one looked like he knew what he was doing. Or the young manager was out of her depth, and sinking without support from her crew. We were not the only ones to wait a long time for food as well. Service is not up to were it should be. Personally, I'd give this place a miss and try the Astra...

Ate at the BHP last weekend. Our entree arancini was quite good, although it would want to be for $19. However our mains were nothing short of terrible. I had the Scotch Fillet on the stone which you must cook yourself. There's now no option to have a steak cooked for you. The steak itself was nice enough, however was the saltiest thing I had ever eaten. They had massively overdone it with salt. As well as the this, you aren't provided anywhere to put your steak pieces after you've cooked it, so it all stays on the stone and gets cooked into oblivion. Then when you take it off the hotplate it's way too hot to put in your mouth. Overall a really clunky process and not very enjoyable. My partner had the special Beef and Chicken roast. She described it as the worst meal she's ever eaten out. The beef was tough like leather, completely inedible, and the chicken was low quality chicken loaf. Both were thinly sliced, not your usual pub roast. We had to get a takeaway pizza on the way home so she didn't go hungry....

This is my pub away from home!! We drove 1000km and are so happy to have discovered this place, the drinks are great, the food amazing, the staff brilliant and super friendly....remembered our order after our first visit, a positive sign of great management. We ate lunch here twice. Our girls are 11 and 12 so usually a kids meal is too small for them, that wasn't the case here (although they did throw on extra chips). We took home leftovers of the korean stirfry and that was from the half serve option, I can't imagine the full serve size! Chicken schnitzels are huge, juicy and delicious as was the chicken parmigiana. I cannot compliment the staff enough from management down, they are all there to make sure you have the most laid back enjoyable time. We never felt like we were outsiders/tourists even though we were. Next time we trek back this way we'll definitely be back to visit our local away from home.

Spent two night dining at the BHP. The food is well priced and prepared. The crispy beef Kari Kari was exactly what it said, crispy on the outside and tender and moist of the inside, rice and vege was flavoured without being spicy - delicious. We had the tuna steak, these came on a stone grill to cook yourself, the confinements of rice and noodle salad were ok. The tuna was awesome, the steaks do not come with your choice of mash broccolini and the staff were unapologetic for the menu misrepresentation. We pride extra for the creamy mash and it went better with the tuna. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor spacious dining and can be enjoyed by large or small groups. Live music is on somenights. Bathrooms are ok. Book ahead.

This place has a fresh delicious battered whiting fish with chips and salad for lunch, must try! They have a really good & fresh chicken parmy love it👌. The garlic bread is ok, the pad Thai is alright, seasoned but very dry, the prawns are skinny, the smoked chicken wings are very bad, and the pulled pork burger is average not moist and flavourful, the chicken schnitzel is ok but moist. I had the Ribeye steak on the hot stone with jus, & creamy mash; it was really good, tender and juicy but a little over seasoned. Comfortable sitting, nice atmosphere, good service and friendly staff, thanks guys😁👍✌️. Recommended here Photos by: jesusbelievers_noah I.G & F.B
