I've tried to like this place, I really have. I can appreciate that they're trying to do something different in Bunbury, in terms of tone and aesthetic, and I applaud them for that. Of the things they're getting right, it has to be said that they've got some of the best cocktails in town. Their craft beer selection is a bit hit and miss but at least they're having a crack at something different, which is good.
When judging a restaurant or watering hole, the quality of the fare is paramount - but customer service is part of the flavour as well. Every time I've been to Lost Bills, the service has been average at best (which is what made me averse to the place). Tonight, though, when asking for a middy I was told that (and I'm summarising here) "they only serve schooners so it helps me keep count of how many beers I've had." Despite the fact there were five staff members behind the bar, I stood for 10 minutes. Other patrons (one from our own group), who approached the bar after me were served whilst I continued to wait. One staff member even proceeded to serve his friends who came to the bar after me.
Again, it was a real shame to have this experience as it has really tarnished our opinion of Lost Bills and won’t be recommending...
Read moreI like beer. If you, like me, like beer, you'll like Lost Bills. Lots. Bill-lieve me. This badass tiny bar has tiny bars to place your drinks on, which, as a tall person, is fun, because I get to pretend I'm a giant, which, as a tall person, I only get to experience usually when I meet people shorter than me. Sadly though, their fake plants are dying...I guess they forgot to pretend to water them... Nice wall art adorns the, er, walls. Nice music plays on the musical box. Possibly every sense is catered to be stimulated here. Even touch, because theres cushions, but don't touch the staff because they might...
