Don't miss Our Table. We visited on a Friday night, and there were no customers here - literally. Admittedly it was a wet night but wow what a mistake. Elsewhere in Byron people are paying a lot for some average meals. Here we had a very delicious meal. A tender lamb shank supported by creamy mash and juicy vegetables plus a Spaghetti'with succulent prawns in a lemony garlic and hint of chilli sauce. A beer and wine at club prices a game of pool and we'd had a great night.

From the moment I walked into Club Byron and met Matt and his team to inquire about Hire I was greeted with so much enthusiasm, professionalism and a YES mentality I knew it was going to be a great partnership. Our event was a year in the making and every step of the way Matt and his team helped us, guided us and looked after us and the whole event from start to finish was magical, we could not have asked for more.

Atmosphere is ace. I’d recommend not to eat here though. It’s reheated frozen stuff, every fourth chip will tell you that. Hopefully just an off day for them I guess.

Firstly, just wanted to say that the bar staff are wonderful and provide a great service. Could not fault them at all. The reason I am giving one star is because of a man who identified himself as a 'director' of the club. For context, I was attending a barefoot bowls session for a friend's birthday with approximately 18 others. Due to the timing of the session and the fact that we'd been out for a distillery tour beforehand we thought we would be responsible and bring some snacks along with us. A member of the party rang ahead to clear this with staff at the club, and they said that this would be fine as long as we weren't eating on the bowling green.

We were having a great time at the bowls club, enjoying the weather, getting great service from the girls behind the bar and having the snacks that we had bought along when the group was told by a man dressed in casual clothes (and calling them casual is a stretch!) that we would need to pack up the food. This man did not identify himself or state his affiliation with the club, just very gruffly and abruptly told us to pack up the food. As we had no idea who this man was we thought very little of it and just continued with what we were doing.

Approximately 10 minutes after this he came back and was incredibly aggressive, telling us he was a director at the club and if we didn't have the food packed up in two minutes that we would be kicked out and fined.

I cannot stress enough how unprofessional and appalling this mans behaviour and communication was! If I were a member of the board I would have been mortified that I was being affiliated with this man. I really hope that something is done about this occurrence, as this person needs to be pulled up on his behaviour towards the public and probably needs to be stood down in all honesty.

The party I was with up to this point were strongly considering staying at the club for dinner as we were very impressed by the level of service provided by the bar staff, however this left us with no recourse but to leave, as we all agreed that we would no longer be happy to provide any money to the club after...

I WAS WITH A GROUP OF FRIENDS PLAYING BAREFOOT BOWLS ON. WE HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME AND THE BAR STAFF WERE EVEN BETTER. WE HAD ASKED OVER THE PHONE AND ON ARRIVAL IF IT WAS OK TO BRING SOME CHEESE AND DIP. BOTH TIMES THE STAFF TOLD US THAT IT WAS FINE. LATE IN THE AFTERNOON, AN AGGRESSIVE MAN MARCHED UP TO US TO INFORM US THAT FOOD ON THE PREMISES WAS NOT PERMITTED. THIS MAN APPEARED INTOXICATED AND WAS NOT WEARING A UNIFORM OR NAME BADGE. WHEN ASKING WHO HE WAS, HE STATED THAT HE WAS ONE OF THE DIRECTORS. MYSELF AND ALL OF MY GUESTS WERE IN SUCH SHOCK AS THERE WERE DRUNK MEN NEXT TO US ROLLING ON THE GREENS AND DRINKING. WHEN I ASKED THIS MAN TO CALM DOWN AND NOT BE SO AGGRESSIVE TOWARDS US HE BECAME MORE ANGRY AND TOLD US THAT WE HAVE TWO MINUTES TO PACK UP AND LEAVE. WHEN WALKING BACK INTO THE BAR, WE WITNESSED THE SAME MAN TALK TO THE FEMALE STAFF IN A VERY INTIMIDATING MANNER. THIS WAS EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND CONCERNING. THE LOVELY BAR STAFF FELT SO EMBARRASSED THAT THEY CAME OUT TO APOLOGISE TO US AND OFFERED US FREE ROUND OF DRINKS. IF THIS MAN IS A DIRECTOR OF THE CLUB, I AM ABSOLUTELY APPALLED BY THIS BEHAVIOUR. IF THIS MAN TREATS PEOPLE, PARTICULARLY WOMEN, IN PUBLIC, I WOULD HATE TO IMAGINE WHAT HE DOES BEHIND CLOSED DOORS... FIVE STARS FOR THE...

It is a cabin, not a motel style room, which was actually better. Location was only 10 min walk to town centre. It was quiet and car was parked right next to room. Check in was very easy via a lock box with key.||The bed and pillows were comfy, blinds were good so was good for sleeping dark, the towels were soft, and room was clean, fresh and fairly modern. ||||However there were a few issues, the bed was on castors, without stoppers, so it slid around the vinyl floor if you leaned sat down too hard or propped pillows up on wall. The moulded shower did not drain well, so I stood in a pool of water the whole time, I thought it might overflow out the glass door onto floor, but thankfully it didn’t. The fridge made a very noisy gurgling sound each time it cut in which was disturbing at night, I could not run the air conditioner as it made a constant ticking sound. The microwave worked but I could not get the door to open, something was...
