I’ll keep this review objective and fair, and let the people decide if they want to eat at a store where the following incident occurred.
During an intense NRL Magic Round match, I was at this Domino's when I spotted a particularly nasty-looking cockroach that seemed like it had been thriving in the store for weeks, if not months. I quickly dispatched it myself, and no other patrons even noticed. I planned to clean up after the game finished, handling the issue discreetly and without causing any disruption.
However, my visit took an unfortunate turn when I poured a clear liquid from a brown paper bag into my Red Bull. A staff member approached me, immediately asserting that it was alcohol and that I couldn’t drink it there. Despite my explanation that the liquid could just as easily be water, the staff member was not persuaded and threatened to call the police.
Given my discreet handling of the cockroach situation and my willingness to clean up after the game, I expected a measure of fairness and understanding in return. In Far North Queensland, especially during an event as significant as the NRL Magic Round, I believed such flexibility was reasonable. The rigid and abrupt response I received was disappointing, raising serious questions about both the store's cleanliness and its integrity in customer service.
I left feeling that the handling of both the pest and the beverage incident lacked courtesy and common sense. Potential customers should be aware of my experience, which could reflect broader issues in store management and...
Read moreDominos pizza has been one of my favorite junk/binge food places since ages. I visited the one in Cairns and being a vegetarian (a pretty strict one), I ordered a Vegorama deep pan. Halfway through the pizza I pulled out a fairly large size chunk of meat (looked like Pork but am not sure which meat). Unsure of what it was, I asked the lady at the counter. She looked at it and acknowledged that it was meat. Instead of being apologetic, this is what she exactly said, "We do not guarantee that a vegetarian pizza won't have meat" and she showed me the menu where it said that a vegetarian pizza "may contain traces of meat". I then asked her if a chunk of meat qualifies as a "trace" or not. Since I started to take a more assertive stance she promptly offered me a refund or a remake. I accepted the refund and walked out.
This quality lapse coupled with probably the worst customer grievance handling - This could also hurt religious/spiritual sentiments of quite a few. The least the staff could have done was to offer an apology straightaway rather than showing me the fine print on their menu card. At that very moment contemplated if I should argue whether it was a "trace" or not), but I didn't want to waste my holiday time on this.
Dominos - Extremely...
Read moreI wish I can give 000 star to this store. Worse experience. I have order my pizza on 2 august 2024. Due to some misunderstanding about order I had cancelled my order and ask for refund. They said I'll receive my refund within 5 business days. Today's 26 august still didn't get my refund back. I rang few times to the store to check what's happening. They keep saying we don't handle refund here. They will pass to head office and I'll get my refund soon. So Today's my patience give up. I call the store again about my refund why I still didn't receive my money back. Same bullshit answer like last time. So I ask them if they can make pizza for me because I already pay for it and still no refund. Manager agree to it. Later on they rang and say they can make my pizzas and someone from head office will ring me to discuss what's the matter. So if any one plan to get pizza in future and have to get refund for some reasons, then good luck with your money guys. It take years to come back. Really disappointing experience. Worse staff complain handling still including...
