Had dinner here and I booked a week in advance as a friend of mine had a little bub, so I made a reservation with a high chair. We walk in, escorted to our table and no high chair was available. Mind you, it was quiet. Only maybe 2-3 tables when we walked in. I questioned the staff where the high chair I booked is as I can see one at another table and the booking wasn’t for another 20/30 mins and the young lady said: I’m sorry we don’t have any available and I said, I was told one will be available as I made a reservation with one. Lucky my friend didn’t mind holding their little one so she said not to worry about it, so we left it.
Already not great start, I understand things happen, however, should have at least tried to look for one or at least attempted to speak to us and say something like “Hi guys, I know you guys booked a high chair, however none are available, is that okay” or at least be more accommodating instead of us asking questions and playing a game of “where’s our high chair”
Anywho, we sat down and browsed the menu and ordered our food+drinks. Probably about 10/15 mins later.
A young guy was pacing up and down looking for a table to give drinks to, another staff member comes and they start arguing, then this bloke slams the cans of coke on our table while walking off still arguing with this lady. A few minutes later, our food arrive so we start eating (still waiting for our side dish of Crispy Roast Pork)
Half way done eating and still waiting, so had to pull two waiters aside to ask about our last dish so they said they’ll check that for us.
We’ve all finished our food and still waiting, so I went up and asked the lady at the front and asked for a refund if they haven’t made it yet, so she asked the kitchen and they said they’ll do it now so I replied, it’s okay am I able to just get a refund on that dish because we’re ready to leave and there’s no point. So she then walks off and goes to the till and issues me a refund and I said thanks.
I know this place just opened up recently, however, I feel Ike the staff need a little more training in terms of customer service. The food was okay, price is reasonable just the service was a let down, I feel the staff need to be organised and arrange reservations accordingly in terms of high chairs if you don’t have enough to accommodate your guests. Other than that, everything...
Read moreAte there tonight, and the food was great. The service from Anusia, was fantastic! She seated us and then happened to take our order at the counter very efficiently!
As a note for the owner: Whilst ordering I asked for the Seafood Fried Koay Teow - without the seafood (prawns) and if I could please have it made extra spicy. Unfortunately, there was another staff member who came and demanded she charge us $1.50 extra for chilli. After being asked if I was ok to pay the additional amount, I questioned it and said, but I’m not having the prawns which would out way the cost of any extra chilli. Anusia’s customer service was great and immediately realised the situation and took off the cost of the chilli, whilst the other staff member stood over her and said “make that the last time you do that”. I found this extremely intimidating for Anusia as it was all in front of us as guests, but she handled it with such poise and grace! This was the most blatant form of workplace bullying I had seen as there was a clear cultural difference between the two staff members. Sadly, I think the other staff member needs to be reprimanded for her actions and to the owner of this business, Anusia is an A+ professional and is a hard working, polite...
Read moreThe reason i am giving 5 stars is because i have been here quite few times and Anusha has always gives excellent service. However, the supervisor i think, the chinese look girl with glasses is not friendly or nice towards her (Anusha). She was rude towards her, kind like bully at work i think. Once, i was on the phone tried to make booking, happened it was Anusha picked up, and she asked this supervisor whether still able to take bookings or not, over the phone i could hear this supervisor voice saying not nice at all, saying “why not? Why not?” Sure, Anusha just had to check whether they were already fully booked or not, right. At the restaurant itself, she was mean when Anusha asked something. I saw it myself. I just can’t stand this behaviour. I know how it feels being bullied, being excluded form the team, as Anusha was the only different compares to others who work there who i noticed chinese background. Hope this has changed by the time i wrote this. In Australia, everyone has the same right, noone is more exclusive than others. Hope the...
