Definitely poor hygiene is a no no!! I found a black hair in my food as you can see in the picture!! So gross as this is food contamination. That’s absolutely not acceptable! Staff is not wearing hairnets so how can they make sure their hair is not landing in the food? 😵‍💫😵‍💫 so unhygienic hopefully they get their business closed if they don’t apply stricter rules!! For gods sake you are serving food!!! Standards apply unless Australia is behind when it comes to eating out!! After they replied doubting it was at their cafe I added two more pictures which clearly show it was at their cafe! And replying to me that they follow their hygiene is laughable as everyone there is absolutely not covering their hair… you can clearly see the food looked quite good on the outside and then a black thick hair inside!! Definitely deplorable and complaining during my visit would only make them remove the hair and pretend they fixed it… i think the only way is to bring it up and just ask for a refund since they charge you before serving you the food. Absolutely disgusting and dirty place!

If you're searching for the ultimate coffee experience paired with a diverse array of delectable foods, look no further than Perk & Palate. This gem of a coffee spot boasts an extensive menu that caters to every palate, whether you're a coffee connoisseur or a foodie at heart. The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing coffee break or a casual meal with friends. Their baristas are true artisans, crafting each cup with precision and care. The espresso is rich and robust, the lattes are velvety smooth, and the cold brews are refreshing and invigorating. But not only about the coffee, its remarkable variety of food options. From hearty breakfast items to fresh salads, gourmet sandwiches, and indulgent pastries, there's something for everyone. Also their selection of gluten-free and vegan options ensures that all dietary preferences are catered to. Kudos for Perky team!

Amazing staff who are very attentive. The Cafe was jam packed. I was in my own and halfway through ordering a large group of people decided to take every free table available. However the staff accommodated and sat me at the bar next to the kitchen which was actually quite unique. Ordered the chilli scrambled eggs which came with slipper lobster and home made ciabatta which came out within 15 mins of ordering. Another staff member offered me a bottle of tap water when there was one free which was a nice gesture. Coffee was on point and being to sit next to the barista was memorising to watch. Only recommendation is that the ciabatta be cut in half down the middle as it was a bit too thick. No points of for that because it didn't affect the experience. Loved it and thank you. I'll be back when I visit next time.

A must-visit Darwin destination for great coffee and food for visiting tourists like me.

They’re just across the building from Darwin Visitor Information Centre, and a great place to grab coffee and breakfast before exploring Darwin town on the Big Bus Tour!

They were busy (which I take as a good sign), but the staff were friendly and the service was efficient. I'm usually not a big eater, but since I was on holiday and everything that came out of their kitchen was giving MAJOR FOOD ENVY, I ended up coming back for another 3 days outside of my 2-day Big Bus tour!

For breakfast, I was able to try their smavo on toast and salmon crostini. For brunch, I tried their barra burger (fave!!), chili scrambled eggs, and chicken adobo benny (a close contender!). My brother-in-law had their braised pork bbq--I had a taste and it was divine!

Every meal was delightful and their coffee (my usual long black) was top-notch!

I'd come here everyday if I live in...

Atrocious! I am unsure why this cafe has such a high rating. My wife is vegetarian. She ordered bacon and eggs on sour dough and specifically asked for the bacon on a side plate (3 times because she sensed the ‘English as a second language’ FOH staff member was not understanding). The breakfast came out with the bacon strewn all over the plate. It went back to the kitchen with the waitress saying it will be another 10 minutes to make a fresh plate of food. That SAME plate came back 3 minutes later! It went back to the kitchen. A fresh plate came out 5 minutes later with no bacon on a separate plate. A separate plate came out later with bacon 2 minutes later and no cutlery, no salt and peppper. As I said atrocious! Put people on the cash register that speak English. Those in the cafe that do speak English need to listen. As a saving grace the lady that took our plates at the end apologized and offered a fresh juice which was professional but we declined. We will not...
