Where do I begin, I first come across this takeaway by accident and surprising the briyani was really good. A few weeks later we decide to go there again so we drive out of Humpty doo just to get briyani for dinner. They we almost closing so we had them take away. As soon as we got home we found that my wife was charged double on her Eftpos. The briyani we ordered wasn't even fill up full. Honestly it wasnt worth going there. We called the next day and explain to the staff, manager wasn't around so she said they will call back. We got a call 2 days later, manager said she will return it back if we come the the counter. My wife went there 3 days later again from Humpty doo and decided just place and order for 2 box of briyani instead of a refund of the double charge. Same thing barely filled and what's worst was when I got home from work to eat it, it was sticky. Probably left over meat from yesterday and not heated properly. Seriously disappointed in this place. Had high hopes but quality goes up and down. Health department should come and check this place out before someone...
Read moreLast week, our family had a dinner at this restaurant and most of the items listed on the menu were unavailable.
I feel bad for the staff as they had to check with the chef at least 4 times prior to taking our order.
Give them he restaurant was not busy (only 3 tables were occupied) our order took at least 20 -25 mins.
The portions were relatively small for the price they charge (70% gravy and 30% meat/veg)
The naans/rotis were basically puff pastry which was half cooked.
Our starters arrived after we had finished our mains.
There were other customers who had preordered yet their food was delayed.
Another customer who had to wait just for the rotis.
Not organized at all and we had better meals for that price.
Recommendation: print menus for the items that are available for the day, it will save your staff all the grief they get from the customers.
We’ll not be recommending it to anyone as it was a waste...
Read moreWhen I first arrived in Darwin, I discovered this halal restaurant that served the most authentic Hyderabadi dum biryani I have ever tasted. The food was so delicious and flavorful that we visited this place every day to try other dishes from their menu. Back then, Flavor e Azam was located in Casuarina and they used to offer several Ramadan buffet deals. This week, I was thrilled to see that Flavor e Azam had opened its doors on Knuckey St in Darwin City. Tried their Hyderabad dum biryani and kebab, and they still tasted the same. I not only enjoyed the food, but I also appreciated the excellent service. The ambience of the restaurant is lovely, and it's a great place to dine with friends or family. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Darwin for...
