drinks were decent didn’t have a chance to have any food. One of the staff was exceptionally rude. Was told to leave. My coworker and I were outside and he had a tendency to smoke. Apparently it wasn’t the approved smoking area. On my coworkers second smoking violation the waiter returned to the table and attempted to lecture me alone on my coworkers smoking. Having upmost respect for a 30 plus year veteran I wasn’t about to relay any message to him and was promptly told to leave. Drinks were immediately collected by the waiter and we were escorted out. I relinquished my drinks but demanded to wait until my coworker returned from the DESIGNATED smoking area. The waiter went to the designated smoking area and tried to grab the cigarette directly from his mouth while in casual conversation with another patron. As my coworkers drink was unfinished as he was away I asked for and was given a partial refund for the servers tip jar as we were escorted out of the establishment. This is the first restaurant I’ve been removed from in 15 years and although I can see the issues with smoking the demeanor of the waiter was uncalled for. After being directed to come to the stone house wine bar,we decided on the geisen organic ,apon completion of pouring it was evident they did meet the 140 mills there was approximately 20/35 mills left in the bottle we suggested they Finnish the bottle of ,but due to the staffs lack of people skills they threw the owner under the bus and there beliduent attitude was beyond comprehension. Comming from McLaren vale wine region and having interest in several out let's ,we would sugest that staff experience matches the price and venue as it was world's apart. This venue could be so great. If the notion of service existed at all. The staff are more focused on their casual conversation than the customer. No one Asks if you are enjoying your $100 Chablis , no water is offered, no conversation at all. You have to ask for a napkin to accompany your food platter and it’s a cocktail one at that . The service area is anything but. It’s more a barrier separating staff and service from the customer. Poor...
