A Hidden Gem of Authentic Bengali Cuisine
Food: Indulge in the delights of authentic Bengali cuisine at this hidden gem. The food is simply outstanding, with a perfect blend of fragrant spices and fresh ingredients that truly capture the essence of Bengali flavors. Highly recommend his lamb curry options, especially since be slow cooks them to the point they're super soft and tender. Same goes with his beef curry. Butter chicken is also very good.
Decor: While the decor may embrace a no-frills canteen style, it maintains a clean and inviting atmosphere. The focus here is on the food itself, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the culinary experience.
Service: The service provided at this restaurant is always accompanied by a warm smile.
Value: Prepare to be pleasantly surprised by the incredible prices offered at this establishment. The exceptional value for money is simply unbeatable, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.

Read moreI recently visited Dhaka Cafe in Canberra with high hopes for authentic Bangladeshi cuisine. Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Despite paying a premium for Kacchi Biriyani, Hilsha Khichuri and Beef Bhuri, the portions were stingy, and the food was excessively salty, making the Beef Bhuri practically inedible. The overall cleanliness of the place was subpar, with dirty tables and chairs sticky with grease. It's disheartening to see a potential gem tarnished by such issues. While I'm a supporter of the growth of Bangladeshi food businesses in Canberra, I hope Dhaka Cafe can address these concerns to truly flourish and represent the rich flavors of...
