Bite & Beans Cafe — Restaurant in District of Canberra Central

We were so disappointed with our brunch. The service was truly dreadful. It was a busy Sunday but we waited 40 mins for our order. We sat inside. The worst part was the waitress passed the two unoccupied tables either side of us, which were full of dirty dishes from the last customers, many times on her way back to the kitchen from delivering food outside. She never stopped quickly to pick up any of the discarded plates. They were there so long they were attracting flies. We finally had to stop her and suggest she quickly take a couple of plates with her on her way past. The food was fine but the long wait and the lack of attention was awful....

Unbelievably excellent service from the most friendly "Bar"..Courteous and professional. The meal itself was just meant to be a quick hunger tamer having ordered two hot dogs. The two hot dogs with cheese and sauce were absolutely delicious and without the doubt the best hot dogs I've ever had. Having lost my ATM card during the week they were also most helpful in allowing me to pay for the lunch using internet banking. It's a full five star rating and if it was possible to rate it 6 out of 5, I would. Not only for food, the friendly Beautiful waitress "Bar"and the unbelievably high level or customer service. Ordered a bacon and egg roll + coffee special for $12, was asked if it was OK to serve in a cup as we were dining in. I agreed, and only found out that they charged $1 to serve in a cup instead of a takeaway cup. I was quite annoyed that they never communicated the extra cost at the time.

Bacon and egg was nice; bacon cooked well and slightly crispy while the egg cooked yet still runny. It's good quality for the price point but the whole $1 for the cup thing really soured...
