If I could give this place no stars, I absolutely would. It was incredibly unhygienic and dirty, with plates piled on top of each other, many without lids and food that had fallen from the train that wasn’t cleaned up (we were there for over an hour). After waiting twenty minutes for some vegetarian sushi to come around, I asked if some could be made; the worker looked at me with extreme distain and said, ā€˜there is already some’, pointing to salmon sushi, rolling her eyes and walking away. A waiter saw and heard everything, looking at me as he smiled and shrugged before walking away. It was bizarre and awful. I was only able to have seaweed salad and a fruit cup, also paid $4.50 for a small 300ml bottle of Coke? Super bummed out. Do not recommend at all, it’s so dirty (see photos). Save your money and go somewhere else unless you want to be disrespected and grossed out.

I'm glad to be the first person posting after its reopening as part of Tiger Lane. 🐯 šŸ… The place was packed, but staff did a good job attending to all the customers. It's just like any other sushi train. It's decent, the flavour is 3/5 but it's good for the price point. Good amount of seats. You can grab your own water bottle and cups, there are also drinks in the fridge. One of the cups was quite dirty. The menu did not have as much variety as Sushi Musa. This includes the printed menu as well as what was travelling by train. As for the mayo, cream cheese & cornflake embellishments - unnecessary. They don't need soggy cornflakes, there was too much mayo with the takoyaki balls, there were big chunks of cream cheese in the salmon & scallop sashimi. I would not drive out of the way for this, but you can definitely satisfy your sushi cravings without breaking the bank.

Edited review: 01/07/23 Ordered some sushi to go on & this time it’s served in a paper bag. Had to ask for chopsticks, wasabi & soy sauce. No ginger offered. Server was like a robot. No customer service whatsoever. How am I suppose to mix my wasabi & soy sauce in a paper bag?? And they sneakily removed the 30cents surcharge signage it you’d like your sushi rolls cut. But do charge you if you request for this ā€œserviceā€ Absolutely appalling!! Husband ordered couple of Sushi rolls to go, food was ok, price was on the slightly higher side roughly $5+ a roll & what I found funny is there was a sign next to the sushi counter which states ā€œthey’ll offer to cut your sushi for you for an extra 30 centsā€ which is unheard of ever! Might need to BYO knife if you aren’t willing to pay this ridiculous surcharge šŸ˜…

FAKE! FAKE! FAKE! FAKE! And Non-Authentic Japanese Food!

Served and Cooked by Non-Japanese staff.

We need changes in legislation to protect consumers from these deceitful acts such as this place.

If a Chef has been trained in the fine culinary arts by Japanese Chefs in Japan or an Authentic Japanese cook along with a certificate that can be traced or researched for authenticity; then by all means then I would say yes.

You’re probably wondering, why does that matter? The reason why Japanese food prepared and cooked by real Japanese people have a higher degree not by chance that the food will taste better than people who are not Japanese.

Japanese food is a culinary art, the food preparation is perfect, the ingredients is perfect; they are very pedantic. Just like Germans who make cars, the way they operate and manufacture is better than the Americans. But Germans make cars that are German brands, not American... and vice-versa.

Just as Japanese food, you expect it to be perfect in some shape or form? You pay top dollar, you expect the same level of quality and experience. Instead it becomes a chance, rolling the dice that what you’re eating is Japanese food, but in fact, it is not.

This place,...

Food was horrible, variety was just a joke, other than salmon, there were only salmons with different toppings. Lot of plates that was on there just can’t really be called as ā€œsushiā€. More like a Korean rice roll thing with so many weird sauce on it. The first plate I had, the rice was completely dried out. Probably it was the sushi that was on there couple hours back. The service was also poor. No greetings. No nothing. Walked up to a guy asked for a table, and told me just sit over there. The sushi chef and the employee was talking to each other over my head, the chef was behind the sushi train and the employee was behind me talking to each other in their language, was loud and just wasn’t a right place for them to have such loud conversation.

Last but not least, it’s just been overpriced for such rubbish food. Salmon, Salmon with different sauce, Salmon with tiny little baby avocado on top of it, Sushi wrapped up with rice with different sauces, Salmon in a slice, Salmon, Salmon, Salmon, Salmon, Salmon, Salmon, Salmon….. and more Salmon. Just salmons. And just endless salmons was going on there.

The best food I had there was the...

I heard Rebecca's conversation (just sat near the entrance). The waiter explained the reasons that why he did not put the notice and applogize or that. (He just couldn't find the notice paper, but he tried his best to explained every single customer as part time worker, even he was the only one work during Rebecca's time) I, as an Australain, local resident, totally understand the surcharge should be given to most restaurant on public holiday. I don't understand, a person who come to Australia, don't even emphasise our cultural background and local knowlege and keep complain about our system... She was asking to pay back the 10% surcharge which was$2.40. Me and young waiter was having a little chat after Rebecca went away. He was crying out "I very don't like people who are not even trying to understand our (Australia) culture, backgrounds and come into our land. That is the reason why, I renuciate my Asian passport and follow our nation(Australia)" After I hearing this, I totally respect to this guy as a human, not as a robot of workplace. So I decide to write this post to protect...
