I was looking walking around downtown, for a place to have dinner at I passed by San Churro, it looked tempting for desserts, I decided to check their menu for later And then I got the surprise the see they also had savoury food, with savoury tapas, and tootsies I then decided to enter, told the staff I was ready for their recommendations To eat I had crispy potatoes, mac & cheese croquettes, a churros snack pack (with milk chocolate, salted caramel, fresh banana & crunchy pretzels) To drink I had salted caramel milkshake, and a classic thick Spanish My best surprise was the mac & cheese croquettes, first time I see that, a must try I'd say The crispy potatoes, with their aioli & tomato relish toppings are there to offer some Spanish twist While the thick Spanish (hot chocolate) definitely is the drink of choice when you get churros (it's a thick one, so you can dip your churros in, or/AND drink it) Salted caramel milkshake was good too Basically, if you have a sweet tooth this is your dream place And if you go with friends, lovers, or family, you have some convenient options of food to share Also staff is super friendly, and efficient Lots of seats (including some outdoors on the covered terrace) And there's a bathroom (not common at all in places focusing on sweet food) In short:...

Really disappointing experience at San Churro City. It was a Saturday night, so understandably busy. However, myself and my table were waiting over 45 minutes before we received our churros -- in fact I never received my order and instead sought out a refund because at this ridiculous point I didn't even want them anymore. The real issue though was the lack of communication and care from staff. Only at the 30 minute mark were we told that "we have run out of dough." No real apology was given, no offer of compensation or to change our order, and no information on what timeframe we were meant to get our food. No other exchange was given so we were left very confused. When it got to 45 minutes, we'd had enough. Even when seeking a refund I was left at the counter for 5 minutes while staff were packing boxes in front of me. Staff seemed very stressed, and I get it, things happen and things go wrong, but it did not feel like they cared about the customers they had in store. If they had just communicated earlier about their lack of churros dough, I would have happily ordered something else. A very disappointing experience to...

I cannot emphasise how bad this Outlet of SAN Churro is!

I’ve been a loyal customer since 2022 and I always used to get the snack pack from san churros. Before I used to visit the Woden restaurant and the people, the atmosphere and the quantity and quality of food was A1!

But Canberra centre is the worst! The quantity is 1/2 of what the Woden restaurant serves! How is that even remotely possible! They are supposed to give same quality everywhere.

Because Canberra centre San Churro quantity was so low, I started ordering extra dip, but now even the chocolate dips quantity is so low!

Like what the hell. It’s not worth what I am paying for mate! You guys really need to see the quantity. It has happened with me 4 times, and I rather spend $2 extra on petrol and go to Woden!

Chocolate dip picture: Woden store used to fill it up to the top but look at Canberra store🥲

Snack pack pic: I counted the churros, they were only 10 of churros and barely any fruits as compared to Woden!

Unfortunately I can’t get my hard earned money...

Came here last weekend and had a good experience so went back again tonight for dessert. We ordered a snack pack and tried to get a free churros for one for signing up to San Churros. Food took a while to come out even though there were no other customers waiting. The ladies seemed to be preoccupied with chatting to these two old guys that kept talking at them for about 10 mins. Then there was gossiping about one of the managers who was supposed to be on the next day calling in sick..... When we finally got the snack pack we waited a while and no churros for one so we went to ask and they had no idea about it so they added it but ran out of dough. By this time we were kind of over it and over the whole experience. Won't be going back there in a hurry..... funny how a $20 snack pack you enjoyed when you're having a good experience quickly becomes some dry fried pieces of dough with stale malteasers and old and new caramel sauce on top when the experience is soured by the environment 🤮🤢
