Good Chinese restaurant with efficient, friendly staff with a no fuss attitude. Menu is broad and covers everything from dumplings to noodles to soft shell crab. There is a specials board and most things are great. There is soy sauce, vinegar and chilli oil at each table. Plenty of seating that suits individuals and couples through to large groups. Located at the west end of Westfield Woden mall on the outside, near the supermarket entrance end. Plenty of parking at the mall, outside, out in front of the restaurant and underground.

We went for dumplings. The vegetarian dumplings couldn't have been blander. Cabbage and carrots - that's all. No mushrooms, no herbs, no flavour. Load them up with the sauces, because that's the only flavour you'll detect. The other (meat) dumplings were marginally better. My 9 year old son blushed with embarrassment to be set a plastic bowl with kiddy-sized cutlery (he's a chopstick veteran, and it's been a long time since he has dropped any crockery). We also had to ask for water. Disappointing - we won't be back.

Food was quick. Peaking duck could of given us a little more meat instead of putting them on prawn crackers to give it more volume. Staff service is quick but flat in terms of friendliness. The eggplant was ok, a little bit on the fishy side with the sauce they cook if in.

The old lady (I think the owner) is a bit racist. I have a South Asian background and I have gone to school and uni here and work a government job. I went there sometimes just to order food for a late dinner but when I get there that lady always asks me for the "Uber order" first...wth. She would then realise I am only there as a customer. I kinda brushed it off as "funny" each time it happened (which is everytime I went there 🤷🏽‍♂️) but one time my parents came for a visit, and I took my mom there and that lady was very rude to me and my mother. But then again, you're the ones who have to work a run-down restaurant anyway. The food wasn't really that good. It just was the only place opened throughout the pandemic times. My friends who are of Chinese backgrounds don't even think it's proper...

Called them to notify the restaurant about my food poisoning and the manager deflected the entire time saying if the food poisoning is so serious why didn't I go to the hospital. Maybe because the doctors just tell you to drink fluids & electrolytes?

Not a single apology. Didn't recognise that my food poisoning is legitimate. It was an $18 takeaway box, and the manager tried to imply I'm only intending to get my money back. Didn't want any compensation. Just wanted some accountability and recognition that they will do better next time. Not good enough and will be reporting to ACT Health.

Don’t waste your money. It’s that simple. Ordered the SEAFOOD LAKSKA. 3/4 of the meal was two separate types of store bought noodles. Followed by a super mild laksa sauce with 3 large chunks of tofu? Then a small handful (and I have small bloody hands) of overcooked, inedible seafood. You could flick & knock out someone with the calamari. It was hard like old rubber. Prawns x 2 pieces were like rock hard bullets. Fish pieces x pieces 2 were hard & tasted old. It was gross. All up… $21.40 by Uber completely wasted.
