Located on the west end of Westfield Woden, just outside the entrance to the supermarket side of the shopping mall, Turkish Pide House offers plenty of seating both indoors and out, with the ability to cater for large groups as well as an intimate setting for two. Upon entering you're greeted by friendly staff who will seat you promptly. Menus are provided quickly along with water. Thiw is a full service restaurant and the front of house staff are very good at ensuing you're well looked after during your meal service. The menu is extensive and offers everything from small entrees, to breads and dips, kebabs, salads and pides. There also an extensive drinks menu also. Those looking for banquets will not be disappointed as there are several options, each one presenting a good variety for the size and value. On this occasion, we were treated with complementary zucchini balls as entrees, which tasted great. Our slow cooked lamb was tender and flavoursome. The fattosh salad had a good zing to it also. There are small treats at the counter as you pay your bill. With a good visit or drop in for an order to go.

After a long, adventure-filled day exploring the Snowy Mountains, we made our way to Canberra in search of some good halal food — and my friend suggested us an absolute gem: Turkish Pide House. We don’t usually visit Turkish restaurants often, but being a big fan of the Turkish series name “Magnificent Century “ I felt a personal connection to the rich heritage behind the cuisine. And wow — the food did not disappoint. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavour, freshly prepared, and beautifully presented. You could taste the authenticity in every bite. But what made the experience even more special was the warm and attentive customer service — genuine hospitality that made us feel comfortable. If you're in Canberra and looking for delicious halal food with a true Turkish touch, Turkish Pide House is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Canberra. Yes it’s very busy restaurants, make sure to book beforehand.

Made an online order. Restaurant did not confirm order by allocated time so system cancelled order. Much confusion over refund. For me to go ahead with the order meant I would have to come up with a second amount (until their automatic system refunds the money) … I replied to their text showing the refund… say that although I was unhappy I would still like to go ahead with the order… they called me back saying that I can take my business elsewhere… considering it was Turkish House fault I’m not checking the order before their system kicked in… it would’ve be not too much to ask for an apology and a little understanding as to why this might be a problem for a customer

I’ve never written a bad review for anything and I pretty disappointed to be putting this together. When I get bad service, I usually let it roll off and not ruin my day however this was beyond acceptable and this restaurant does not deserve my custom, nor that of anyone reading this review.

The staff are rude on the phone and in person. We had decided to order Mini Banquet as it was only $18.00 and included a drink. I arranged this prior with my colleagues to avoid annoying discussions about what to order when we got there. When we did get there the staff pressured us into ordering a more expensive banquet, indicating it was only a few dollars extra. We agreed, but assumed that drinks were included in this too as it was more expensive. They weren't, and the bill ended up almost $100 more than it would have been. I was less than impressed about this, and about the splinter my colleague found in her meat, and the general manner of the staff so I spoke to the Manager. She was extremely rude, She spoke over the top of me, was patronising and more or less indicated that I was the problem. This included taking me outside the restaurant and waving a pen at me, and talking in an abrupt manner to me in front of other customers. She interjected constantly and kept saying "were you happy with what you got?" "Did you look at the menu" completely missing the point. I had to walk away from her I was so shocked. Having worked in retail for 10 years, I have been on the receiving end of customer abuse more than once however never had the priviledge of being addressed in such a way by a restaurant manager, with no cause. Additionally, the prices on their internet menu don't appear to be consistent with what is in store. Check before you go. If you can get them to hold on the phone long enough to ask such a question. Suffice to say we won't be returning which is sad as I like the food :) It's sad because if they had decided to take some feedback on they might still have a customer. Feedback would have be limited to the restaurant management rather than a negative review here. Very...

I visited this restaurant with my husband, and while the food was delicious and the ambiance was welcoming, our experience was marred by a particularly unpleasant encounter. Service overall was decent, but a man, who appeared Middle Eastern (and possibly Turkish, given this is a Turkish establishment, and judging by other staff's deference, he might have been the owner) delivered our dishes by nearly slamming them on the table without a word of greeting. When we thanked him, he ignored our gratitude and promptly left without a response. Initially, we wondered if this was just his demeanor towards all patrons, or if it was a potential act of discrimination, possibly due to religious beliefs. Our suspicions grew when we observed him being exceptionally polite while handling bills for other customers. Yet when we were ready to pay, another server signaled for us to wait for him to process our payment. Despite the man clearly seeing us from the screen he was operating, he acted as if he hadn't heard and directly proceeded to the kitchen, leaving the other server in an awkward position. Thankfully, the server took charge and completed our payment. Although there's no direct evidence to suggest outright discrimination, the cold treatment left us feeling marginalized. If our service experience was indeed a result of our relationship, I must stress that in Australia, such behavior is wholly unacceptable. We are a legally recognized couple in this nation and shouldn't be discriminated against when seeking service in any establishment. From our experience, I can't vouch for this restaurant as LGBT-friendly. Regardless of whether this was a one-time incident or a systemic issue, no one should feel less valued because of...

I would leave ZERO star if I could!

That FEMALE MANAGER was really super rude to us, firstly we were trying to book through their online portal and we could not as every time it gets rejected, we walked to the place and the FEMALE MANAGER met us at the door rolling her eyes at us telling me are you (called my name from my booking attempts) and told us I already reject your booking!!!! Then started to explain that the restaurant is full at that specific time for our numbers! We left and decided to come next weekend as we wanted to try Turkish food at the town!

Our next visit everything was normal with the receptionist and the 2 young lads really served us well at the beginning. They were trying to help us to adjust the warmers as it was directed to us and that FEMALE MANAGER appeared out of nowhere yelling at the young lady (JASMIN) and she came to her and started rolling her eyes at us!! Later on she sent one of the waiters asking us if we need a take away container while we still didn’t finish our dinner!!

Afterwards, our kids were there beside our tables and that FEMALE MANAGER rushed to them directly shouting to a 2 and 3 years kids (MIND YOUR TABLE) that was really very rude and made us frustrated from such situation and decided to leave immediately.

To give a complete review the food was good but really not the best value!

Lastly, I have seen many reviews about this branch, and the common thing from most of the bad reviews was commenting about that FEMALE MANAGER and her rude attitude! the message is come visit us if you really need an attitude! I really feel bad for such a great food experience restaurant loosing costumers everyday due to that bad hospitality from this FEMALE MANAGER!!

Never coming...
