Passed by this morning. Stopped the car to find out what's today special. What a good combination to have both chicken biryani and non-spicy curry goat for breakfast. Take away Nasi Lemak for homebound. The Nasi Lemak here is different, they use basmati rice and cook with coconut milk, ginger and other ingredients. Soft, fluffy, well seasoned, non-sticky, warm and aromatic as well. Love it! (2021-05-31) Previously the corner shop is 'Cafe 935'. A new restaurant businessman took over a few months ago. I like the soft, fluffy, well seasoned, flavourful and nice briyani rice. The curry lamb / goat is nice. Each day the menu is slightly different. The lady boss is very kind and friendly. Mr Singh, the boss, is a easy going person. More relax la! Ha, ha. The food taste a bit like a home cook food type and perhaps is what it advertised as 'Authentic Family Recipes'. Sunday menu is different too. Find out mate! Cheers! (2021-March/April)

Located towards of Albany highway it’s easy to miss, so look out as you drive along for a corner shop lot with seating both inside and outside. Great menu with a lot to offer to cover the Singaporean/Malaysian palate. The freshly made dosai made on demand looks really good and just the right fermentation so it’s not sour. Questionable if the murtabak is made fresh as you could see them folding the murtabak with pre-made roti. Took quite a while too and didn’t live up to the expectation. Filling was great and lots of egg, but the roti was a definite let down. Served with dahl was a bit different, would have been better with chicken or fish curry. Indian rojak was a good portion and the peanut sauce was really delicious. Definitely worth ordering. Overall it’s a great location and very welcoming staff. The atmosphere is great and prices are reasonable. Definitely worth it for families and students. Beng Kumih!

The Chicken Briyani rice set came with a bowl dhal and some cucumbers. The food was packed with flavour but the serving size could be more and perhaps serving it with raita (yogurt and diced onion mix) would be great. The white rice with 2 vegetables and 1 meat set was excellent. The fish curry was amazing and the tofu and chili eggplant were very good. The interior space was, however, very small and not clean. The fan blowing at us was very dirty, the dust accumulated on the fan grills was so much that they are looking like black cob web. And the ventilation in there wasn’t good. Efforts were made to ensure ventilation is better with the aircon and 2 fans. The service was ok. I would definitely recommend to have a try because the food is very good. Eating outside the stall or packing away to bring home might be a consideration to enjoy the eating experience more.

I have been to this restaurant in person and found the food great. However, I ordered a home Delivery this evening Friday 23rd June 2023 and my order was Not Delivered. The order cost was $54.79 The Uber Guy rang me from his mobile to ask for my address prior to delivery as he said he didn't have the correct address so I SMS my address through. Uber however have the registered address so thought this strange. The tracking map showed the driver was 3 mins away then suddenly the computer screen went blank and said No Orders. When I phoned the restaurant they confirmed with me that the order was in fact picked up. I tried contacting the Uber Driver but kept getting an automated message. On contacting Uber their first response was Not at all helpful. But I had advised Uber Eats that the driver was lying as I have security cameras that show that the driver did not arrive at the house/or wait 5 minutes which is what Uber informed me. Basically, the restaurant should also be held accountable for the non-delivery of a meal and/or check up on the driver or have a system in place whereby the Uber Driver has to respond to the restaurant on delivery of an item. There is no real system in place. The restaurant did apologise for the non-delivery but sadly not good enough. I will not use this restaurant again there does not seem to be ANY accountability....

I had a very disappointing experience ordering from this restaurant through Uber Eats. They failed to update their menu to reflect that a particular item was unavailable. After placing my order, I received no communication from the restaurant informing me of the issue. Instead, they allowed the Uber driver to come to pick up the food — only for the driver to contact me nearly 50 minutes later to say the item wasn’t available.

I then asked the driver to inform the restaurant that, since this was their mistake, they should cancel the order from their side. Unfortunately, they still didn’t take responsibility or cancel the order. Uber continued dispatching drivers until I finally had to call customer support and cancel it myself.

This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. People order food because they are hungry — making them wait for an hour only to find out the food isn’t even available is simply unfair and careless. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and improves its communication and order...

This is the 3rd and last time to this restaurant. I hate to complain as most business owners and people think it's very 'Australian' to complain to get free food. I had mee Siam and hit teh tarik for brunch today. The dish was so bad that I could only taste the coconut milk and God it did not taste like Mee Siam just some vermicelli drenched in some soup with tiny tofu and a huge blob of sambal may be to balance the coconut milk. I doubt if the food is authentic here. Authentic means preparing from scratch not quick cooking and preparation that we can all do at home. The teh tarik was a shocker, not sure if it was made with evaporated milk but was bad and smelt of something. As that was my first meal for today, I had a little of the mee Siam, sipped the tea and left. Did not complain or say anything as the owners should be aware of their food preparation and nothings gonna change their mind anyway. All I can do is choose not to go again, it's a shame as I...
