Called today at circa 12.30pm (Sunday 14th August) hoping for a coffee and something light from the menu For my wife, first choice with the coffee was a croissant ...sorry we don't haven't any. Second Choice, scones....sorry we don't have any. Third Choice....ok I'll have one of your famous sausage rolls. Just let me check. The staff member returns, sorry we have no sausage rolls either. Do have some bacon and cheese though.
At that stage it was clear the staff member was a little embarrassed. My wife settled on just coffee. I chose one of their "famous horseshoe rolls" plus a coffee ( I used to work in Fremantle almost 50 years ago and they were "famous", and I often had them for lunch). Read moreCollected mail from post office walked up to Culley's to order a sandwich for lunch. Only two customers in shop I was one of them, ordered a ham and salad sandwich I was only customer in shop, three people behind counter busy stacking fridge and display cabinets, after five minutes waiting i asked how much longer was this sandwich going to take. One girl went out the back and came back two minutes later with the sandwich. Not once did the women asked if I was waiting for anything just stared kept on packing there cabinets. Seven minutes for a sandwich I will wait my turn like anybody else, but when no other customers waiting this was just incompetents at its best. I will never bother going back to that shop and I suggest strongly you look after paying customers not displays in the hope someone comes in. I'm sure this is not the first time however I won't be back to find out plenty of other...
Read moreIgnoring the price of our sandwiches that we stopped in for, the staff member who served us charged us for ice coffees with ice cream and cream when we ordered cold long blacks. When I asked to be charged more reasonably for them the staff member in charge that day lectured me about how ice long blacks are a strange new fangled thing that I shouldn't expect people to understand... We described what it was to our waitress, twice. There's no reason to try to make your customers feel ashamed, especially when their issue will eventually trickle back to your staff and improve overall business practice. Arrogant, pricey, rude and oblivious. I am sure if you wanted to walk out on your bill it'd take a while for anyone...
