We are extremely disappointed with our experience when we ordered their special steak on Friday night. The sauces and potato fries were very salty and it just didn't compliment the steak. We also tried to order mocktails and we are shocked that in such big well known establishment, the bar do not serve mocktails. So many bars and restaurants, smaller than Federal Hotel make mocktails. Not every one can drink alcohol and special occasion would be better celebrated when toasting with mocktail while others have their cocktails, beer and wine. Lastly the pana cota dessert were shocking. Poor taste, no cream at all. They should have called it jelly dessert. Also the size and the way it was served was appalling. Again, what happened to the standard at Federal Hotel? For such well known establishment, and so many competitive hotels and restaurants nearby, it will be great if the manager consider improving taste and standard of their steak special, and desserts.

My colleague and I were looking for a place to have dinner at and we heard the live music coming from the Federal Hotel. The cricket was also on on the big screen, which was the drawing card for my colleague. The hotel is split into three — an outside, a more modern inside, and the original indoor space. The service is nice and everyone is very friendly and attentive. My colleague ordered a Parma and I got a grilled Pork cutlet with rice. He was happy with the Parma, which came with chips. The cutlet was nice and thick, and very juicy — it was cooked beautifully. Sadly, the rice looked like it was out of a packet — it was tasteless and I barely touched it. We also had some Korean chicken bites — although there was too much batter on them, they were actually quite nice. It’s a nice and relaxing venue, but there are definitely better food options around.

Beautiful old building with a lovely broken gas system so no heaters were functional on a chilly af night and no hot drinks available such as tea or coffee or mulled wine. So just want to let you folks in on this cool invention which they call a “kettle”, might want to look into it boss. Also, hot water dispensers are only about $150. A small investment to keep people from getting hyperthermia and frostbite when trying to enjoy your balconies. You’re reading this and thinking, oh, I should wear more clothes maybe? Okay, I’ll just wear a huge snow jacket, gloves and beanie next time I’m trying to enjoy some casual after work chit and or chats. Helpful and friendly staff and severs, this review is directed more towards poor upper management from the higher ups. Thanks for tuning into my Ted Talk.

Insomniacs only!! Music at the bar vibrates through our apartment room until 1am and at 4.45am cleaners come in and are 100% louder than the bar music, they bang and yell for one hour, but the bar doesn't open until 11am, why the hell do they book cleaners so early? Half of the staff seem like your bothering them when you order a drink or food, some of them don't even know how to pour a drink correctly. Great location, big room but that's it. 4 hours sleep max, disgraceful for a "hotel" really. I really wish I was able to upload the video of the cleaners, it's actually unbelievable the noise they make. Also there is absolutely no light being blocked by the blinds in the room. It's like the room is made for people who hate sleeping.

I had the snapper tacos and popcorn chicken for lunch. Both were amazing. Serenade of live jazzy beats by a band in the balcony. It was awesome. Had a few dances here. People were super friendly here. What a positive atmosphere. Will definitely visit again and highly recommended.
