Went there on Sunday 15/8/21 1.15pm. Very busy and advised 2 out of 5 sandwiches on the menu (cubano and schnitty...of course the 2 most popular) on the menu "not available, sold out" . Not a good start. OK, so ordered the "Antipasti", took quite a while for it to arrive.. .Why it needs waitstaff to deliver it 1.83m from the prep counter ( where 4 sandwich chefs are lined up) to our table is beyond me ( I suspect in future when the novelty of the place wears off and business drops these staff will be let go). So the "antipasti" was fine, good size, tasty...but at $13 was it outstanding...no. Bread was a bit too doughy ( made in house), the meats not especially tasty. Pickles and marinated vegetables were nice. So at $13...just OK..but would I go back for it coz it blew my socks off...no. Unfortunately what really set the tone was the embarrassment of the item on the drinks menu.."Ice Cold" it proclaimed..it wasn't.. $5 for a 250ml kids tetra pak Nippys Iced Chocolate. I ordered it on a whim coz i felt like a choclate drink but instantly realised that it was a complete waste of money. Come on guys...really..there was nothing else you could come up with? You will only dig yourselves into a hole with this. The staff were OK but seemed interested in interacting more with other staff ( coming in /off shift) and their personal friends. Might work in Melbourne but I'm not sure long term this is a good thing. End of day..was hoping for more..but got...

Me and my wife recently moved to Fremantle and for the past 2 weeks we started going there pretty often, but today we had a really bad experience. We order couple sandwiches and after a few minutes we realised that she forget to say no mayo. Since there was a big line, I decided to just ask one of the “chefs” to ask to see if was possible to change it. I understand that it was part my mistake but is not too charge to either scrap out the mayo and put the bun back in the grill for a couple minutes or maybe just remake the sandwich. Anyway, seems very easy but unfortunately it didn’t happen that way. First he refuse to change it and after, finally saying he could remake but it would take 20 minutes and I prompt accept. After that, he just came and delivery my sandwiches with the mayo as if nothing. It doesn’t cost too much to be nice. I didn’t say nothing since it was my mistake, and just asked for a takeaway box and he just throw me some wrapping paper. It’s pretty upset seeing a place that just got a bit up mistreating their customers. Unfortunately will not be...

One of the grail sandwich places in Perth! The sandwiches here may not look too big but trust they are the perfect size.

The bread here is outstanding and really frames the different flavours on offer. There are a good variety of different sandwiches available - each with their own unique profile of flavour, and each very worth a shot if you have the stomach space! They do sell other things like cookies and some bits and pieces but really it’s the sandwiches that steal the show.

There is a good amount of seating outside which means you can bring your dog along - and there is parking all around. It can get quite packed depending on the day you go but you won’t have to wait too long either way. Staff are friendly enough, although the girl that served us on the day was a little curt. Then again nothing that will get in your way.

If you like sandwiches and you are looking for a good sandwich store in Perth then definitely pay a visit - easily one...

Finally tried Peggy’s after hearing many good things for years. Personally I would say while it’s good, it’s definitely didn’t really live up to the hype. The Reuben toastie was nice, perfectly toasted and the melted cheese was spot on, however I could hardly taste the sauerkraut. The muffin was nice but again nothing special and while the fries were delicious, it was wayyy too salty. We had to brush off the salt on each fry individually because of how sickening the salt was. The other thing I found strange was there was no place to wash your hands, or sanitiser etc provided. You’d think a sandwich shop where everyone is using their hands they would provide something…oh well. While I’m happy ive now tried it. I doubt I’ll be back anytime soon.

So I came here mid morning. Just wanted a snack to cover for lunch. So I opted for the sausage and egg muffin with cheese. I ended up having 2! They are on the little bit more than I’d normally pay for them. But it was worth it, so I didn’t mind. They are extremely tasty and I’d definitely have it again. The muffin though small, was tasty. Sausage was full of flavour, egg cooked perfectly, and cheese melted perfectly as well. Think you can incorporate it with a coffee/drink to make it a deal. So if you’re after a snack, I’d definitely get this. Only reason I guess I didn’t give them 5 stars. Was their coffee comes out of a machine, but their batch brew was good option. Rest of the menu looked great. Definitely worth a visit here.
