Another visit for take away today 7/2/25 for morning tea🧁Have to again acknowledge the staff - friendly greetings from all. Order was Cream Caramel + Apple Danish 😋both delicious. Vanilla cream on Cream Caramel was sweet but not sickly & plenty of it. Danish was full of fresh apples. Went down a treat. Went back for dine in breakfast today 7/9/24 - amazingly good with all 4 people in our group happy. Lattes & chai latte (with honey) really nice. Fresh fruit tart was delicious, light pastry, yummy custard. Chicken & beef pies were so good that they were ordered again. Bacon, egg roll was a huge hit. Staff were helpful & pleasant - thank you! Had been waiting to try this bakery. It was fairly busy but it wasn’t clear who was organising takeout and which customers were being looked after. Almond croissants whilst large were very dense & a bit dry. Would try something else next time as I gather the pies are really good - will update

Seriously one of the best bakeries on the Gold Coast as everything is made fresh in store and the owners and staff of the store work hard to please the customer. They serve Toby's Estate brand of coffee which is always made to perfection. The handmade French style cakes, chiffons and pastries are not decadently tasty their presentation is of world class. They always have a range of in store freshly made pies, sausage rolls and pasties. But my favourite would have to be the gluten free doughnut balls! AMAZING👌 If you have a special occasion coming up like a birthday or anniversary and you need that special something come and see these guys. This business along with many others in recent years has really revitalised the whole Chirn Park area into something special. You could almost say it's becoming a destination! Chirn Park!?! Again gluten free Donuts are the BOMBđŸ”„đŸ’Ż and they bake them on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays!

Very poor cake delivery. I ordered a birthday cake for my daughter’s 21. I paid a significant amount like $130 for the cake. I expected the cake to have value for money. This is the first time I went there as my daughter has checked the reviews and told me it’s very good. Unfortunately, the cake which we took in for the hotel where the party was , was very inedible. It does not taste nice at all. We had to throw the cake. The next day I reported this to the bakery. The owner instead of taking feedback, keeps claiming that his cake is the best. He also asked for evidence and bring the cake back for him to test the cake. I have been constantly trying to explain that the cake has gone to the bin. The owner mentioned that he will transfer the money back. It’s gone one month and he has not done so. I don’t know how people can run a business in cheating customers. First he spoiled the birthday cake, then he refused to listen that his cake was not right, to finally not refunding my money.

Please take my experience seriously and do not order birthday cake there.

Thanks

JUST TO ADD TO THE OWNER’s DENIAL

When we placed the order, we left out contact details. He insisted that all payment should be done straight away to which we did.

He mentioned that he didn’t have my details to refund. All companies and shops they have the system to refund the money back from the transaction. I paid the $130 with my card. If the owner was genuinely sorry, he would have the decency to refund back the transaction.

The owner had no intention to listen to feedback. Told him over 1000 times , that once the cake was inedible, the hotel staff took it away on my request to throw.

I don’t do return or never had a chance to take the cake back to the shop. A common sense person would understand that the cake has gone to the bin. He kept insisting that I should bring the cake to him to taste, like seriously?

I gave a list of faults with the cake and the owner keeps insisting that my taste was bad. 15- 20 guests tasted the cake ? Are all their taste bad. Rather than accepting that something went wrong with the recipe or something, the owner refused to listen to anything or any feedback.

He keeps mentioning that my shop is the best, well no longer. Be my guest to contact your solicitor as I have a house full of them too.

Anybody looking at his response could see the denial.

Shall wait for the Solicitor’s,...

Avoid at all cost, owner is aggressive and the cakes are off and you will never hear an apology from this place because they think they are the best in the world.

Had their cake for my birthday and it was off and I had Diarrhoea

Called up the store today and can barely understand the owner’s English, however the manager and the floor staffs English are excellent.

The owner upon the phone call won’t even let me talk instead starts talking about how good his cakes and cream are for a good 5-10mins, then he blamed on the breakfast I had.

And he told me he doesn’t trust customers complaint at all when I told him I only had coffee with his cakes and a simple scramble egg for breakfast.

He blamed the eggs I had to cause the diarrhoea due to humid weather and as if his cafe is fully Air conned? Anyone who stepped inside knows how hot it is.

He is not there to listen to customers let alone he raised his voice and started yelling non stop. But the yelling is confusing as well because I couldn’t understand the words coming out of his mouth. Why can’t he let his staffs talk for him? Things could have been explained better

I don’t even want refund from this establishment and it was a complete waste of time talking to the owner

The staffs have better English, better attitude and better manner than the owner

After he is done with his yelling, he proceeded to say how much he cares for the customers like me.

I’m sorry if he does care, he would have asked how am I feeling straight from the beginning instead of talking about himself? Did he ask if the diarrhoea stop? Or how bad was it? Nope! Nothing he doesn’t care at all

Never stepping into this...

A friend invited me here for lunch.. unbeknown to him.. the breakfast menu stops at an unspecified time without anything with the exception of pies and sausage rolls as a warm option to take its place.

The younger gentlemen behind the register curtly pointed this out as it seems his manners were missing today with such a large crowd.

We decided to go across the road to grab some delicious Japanese though returned to try some donuts and coffee after receiving tremendous service at the Japanese restaurant just across the road.

It would appear that the young gentleman behind the counter must have been under even more pressure as his demeanour had gone from bad to worse.

The donuts were exceptional.. the coffee devine... though to be perfectly frank.. the attitude I'd not something I am used to paying for... let alone receiving for free.. the cutlery was literally thrown on the table and the request was sugar paramount to asking for the first born child of the waitress who seems to share the same distaste for customers as her partner in crime behind the register.

My first and last time to visit this establishment.. the food may be first class for patisseries.. though the service left much to be...
