Green Grotto — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

The place looks nice and the menu looks promising however I’m surprised they can keep their doors open as it appears as a business they actively avoid serving customers. We live just down the road and tried for about a month to try there, every time they have not been open in opening hours or if they have been open there’s been no one in the shop to take orders, or make orders- and twice we were told they couldn’t take our order because they were still setting up and recommended we go next door- which to be honest do good food and coffee. The menu looks great, it’s a pity we have never been able to eat here yet as they close whenever they feel like it. We have tried to have lunch here twice on a weekend now. Each time we have arrived, they tell us they are closing at 12 however their front door says they are open till 1pm and google says they are open till 2pm. Very confusing. This place has good potential, the food is amazing, but ordering is a real hassle. They always ask ‘what’s your name? Are you in the system?’ Like I just want to order a smoothie easily without extra unrelated questions, it’s confusing and should be an option that the customer chooses, not a must.
