Ripples Cafe & Bar — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

I've been here a few times now. Breakfast on a Saturday morning, which was very busy and full of people. Not to sure if it's the acoustics of where it is, but with a full dining area it is very loud and tends to echo. Very difficult to hear other people at the table. All at our table of 4 commented how loud and difficult it was to hear and talk. A different story going on a Sunday for brunch. Not as many people, a lot quieter, and more calming and relaxing. Some of the menu options were a little different and interesting. The food is good and well presented on the plate. I had the soft shell sunrise and ripples eggs benny. Both were good, but a bit overpriced for the quantity on the plate. Coffee is good but if you order a mug they give you a standard cup size which is a bit disappointing, especially if you like your coffee. Everyone at our table ordered a mug and all were surprised at the small size we received, even though we paid the extra. Over $7 for a lactose free chai! Iced latte came out in a average size glass. Parking is on side street and can be difficult to park close to the cafe. It can be a nice place to go to when it's not too busy. It's right on and overlooks a main roundabout with a slight view of the canal...

Ripples Cafe & Bar will definitely be our new regular spot. The food was absolutely delicious! light, fluffy pancakes that melted in your mouth, perfectly cooked eggs, and crispy bacon. And the coffee? Hands down the best I’ve had in a long time, just what you need to start the day. I ordered another to go.

The kids couldn’t stop raving about their milkshakes, calling them the best they’ve ever had. They’re already asking to come back next weekend.

On top of the amazing food and drinks, the service was outstanding. It’s always a pleasure to be greeted with a smile, and the staff were not only friendly but also incredibly fast and attentive. We had a great experience.

This place is our favourite hidden gem! The food is absolutely divine! Cannot fault the many times we have been here! Gibby and his staff are super gracious and generous! The portion sizes extremely generous! We love Ripples and cannot wait to go back again this weekend! The beef burger is perfection! The chicken burger is massive and soooo tasty!
