This was a tough review for a number of reasons;
Was it authentic? No! Was it enjoyable? Yes! Was it what I ordered? No! Did they pull it off? Kind of!
Tonight I ordered the Mongolian Lamb with steamed rice. A tricky dish (well, apparently in Australia), should it be sweet? Should it be spicy? Well the answer is both, and this place at least got that right. The problem was, they decided to play with this dish a little, and in my case, this didn't work for me. Fried noodles, while a novel idea, does not work in a Mongolian dish! Yes it added texture, but it just does not fit! As for the basics, the spice was there, the sweet was there, and both were well balanced, but it was lost in the fact that there was nearly no sauce to distribute those flavours throughout the entire dish.

Read morewas craving Chinese food having searched the reviews and with some research I decided on this place but had my reservations when I walked in I don't mind old school authentic as Sydney Melbourne have a load of them we ordered 2 dishes and a fried rice asked for beef chicken chow mien the price being 18 bucks I was a little shocked at the price being a local surbubian outlet the fried rice came out not cooked properly and lacking flavour bland at that the sweet and sour fish was okay loaded with red coloured sauce couldn't see or taste what vegies were meant to be in the dish I wanted to take it back considering the prices and very poor quality of this meal I bit my tongue and proceeded to complain out loud to my Hubby I decided just to pay the bill and leave, very poor quality food and quite dirty the carpet needs a good clean I am surprised these places are allowed to operate Queensland get your act together and start rating...

Ordered very basic menu items as the kids are still getting used to the pallet.
The steamed dimsims and chicken satay with peanut sauce were ok, as was the lemon boneless chicken... but nothing to write home about. 3/5
My Mongolian beef was oily and seemed like it was full of meat tenderiser... had no flavour and flopped around the plate. 2/5
Try a different place... if locals are loving this place, I didn’t see any evidence of it. And no Asian customers either eat in or takeaway... which is another sign that maybe there’s...
