Top Thai on Central St, wow, what a disappointment. The young ladies that served me were great, their customer service was deserving of 5 stars it really was. I can't fault their service. I ordered takeaway for this visit.

Unfortunately the food was lacklustre, and compared to what I believe is the gold standard for Thai food on the GC, Terrace Thai, it was yet another "thanks for the meal but I won't be back again" scenario.

Ordered Tom Yum Goong, Chicken Fried Rice, Pad Se Yew w/chicken (chilli in fish sauce w/coriander on the side).

The Tom Yum was as it should have been, spicy, sour, sweet, but the tomato was old ( i mean it was still halfway to being semi dried,it really was, you can't do that...) otherwise the mushroom, onion were OK.

The Pad See Ew. What a disappointment, my 14yr old cooked Pad See Ew for me last week and it was superior to this. The chicken was dry, the vegetables somewhat suspect. If I'm being perfectly honest I would say this was something that had been cooked earlier, then refreshed in the wok with some soy flavoured water, as it was bland, and completely lacking in flavour.

Sorry Top Thai, you have lovely staff, but I feel you have decided all white people are stupid, and therefore aren't worthy of quality cooking. And you don't do Red Whiskey sauce, jungle curry or quails. As far as I'm aware they are 3 things any Thai restaurant with a decent chef worth it's sauce will do.
