Gold Coast lacks french affairs and Le Petit Chef does it just perfectly, an authentic flavors without the fussy over-the-notch service but friendly neighborhood atmosphere. We knew we were in for a treat when the bread was served warm, such a simple step but failed by many who don't care. The appatizer was flavorable but what striked us was the main. It was generous in portion without sacrificing the elegance of presentation or flavors. And finally the desert - souffle was something to remember for and you can't skip it.

At the payment, no default option to tip like the customery practice in Australia (some forces you to choose between 0%, 5%, 10% and 15% and inplants guilt of sense at payment). Don't get me wrong I am not trying to sound cheap but these friendly approach to service was well appreciated.
Just a note - parking can be a chore so arrive 5-10min early to look for street...
