Gold Coast lacks french affairs and Le Petit Chef does it just perfectly, an authentic flavors without the fussy over-the-notch service but friendly neighborhood atmosphere. We knew we were in for a treat when the bread was served warm, such a simple step but failed by many who don't care. The appatizer was flavorable but what striked us was the main. It was generous in portion without sacrificing the elegance of presentation or flavors. And finally the desert - souffle was something to remember for and you can't skip it.

Service wasn't pushy at all. I found the friendly question of "still or sparkling or just regular tap water?" cuz I simply hate restaurent that forces me to choose between still or sparkling. They didn't try to sell any wine to us. At the payment, no default option to tip like the customery practice in Australia (some forces you to choose between 0%, 5%, 10% and 15% and inplants guilt of sense at payment). Don't get me wrong I am not trying to sound cheap but these friendly approach to service was well appreciated.

Just a note - parking can be a chore so arrive 5-10min early to look for street...

Review of Le Petit Chef

Le Petit Chef is a charming gem located just a short distance from the center, perfectly positioned for an intimate evening away from the hustle and bustle. The ambiance is inviting and simple, truly embodying the essence of French cuisine—it's all about the flavors.

We opted for the $85 per person menu, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted, showcasing the rich and diverse tastes that French food is known for. To enhance our experience, we added a cheese platter, and it did not disappoint. As someone who has longed for an authentic French dining experience, I can confidently say that Le Petit Chef delivered on every level.

The service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive, and the staff was both professional and warm, making us feel right at home. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and left with full hearts and satisfied palates. We will definitely be returning to Le Petit Chef for another...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Le Petit Chef in Broadbeach Water, and it was an exceptional experience. The restaurant has a sophisticated yet cozy ambiance, making it an ideal choice for a memorable evening.

To start, the Foie Gras was exquisite. The Saint-Jacques and beef tartare were equally impressive, perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. The cheese platter, featuring a selection of French cheeses, was a delightful conclusion to our meal.

We also enjoyed some fine French wine and began our evening with two superb cocktails. The service was impeccable; the staff were attentive and ensured we felt warmly welcomed.

An additional highlight is that Le Petit Chef is open on Mondays.

Overall, Le Petit Chef provides an unforgettable dining experience with its outstanding French cuisine, elegant atmosphere, and exceptional service. I highly...

Was very lucky to visit Le Petit Chef on their opening night, June 22nd. Food was delicious. The first French meal I’ve had in Australia that was authentically French. I went with my partner and some friends. Between us we tried many things, everything was tasty but my highlights were the escargot and vegetarian bourguignon. The wine list was impressive, we started with a glass of rose then shared a gorgeous bottle of gamay. Dessert was to die for. I had a baba au rhum. It was very a special evening and we will be returning!
