I'm not one to usually post a negative review but this place needs it. TERRIBLE experience. We never had someone come up to us and serve us like they normally would do at every other Sushi Train. Didn't even come over to say hello or ask us for any drinks etc because obviously it was done through the app. The problem with that is it took FOREVER to arrive. There was barely any food on the train and it was lunch time. The room wasn't even full. Anyway... I ordered 3 plates (easy vegetarian plates) to start with through the app but I didn't realise I'd be waiting 50+ minutes for them to come out. I waited ages and had to make two requests for sauce. They gave us HOT cans of drinks which really frustrated my partner even more. Luckily he eats anything put in front of him so he wasn't as annoyed as I was about the lack of food on the train however between him and I we spent nearly $60 for next to nothing. In today's world with everything being so expensive, this made me even more angry. My partner asked me if I wanted to order any more because I didn't really eat a lot and my response was 'If I order anything else from here..we'll be waiting even longer so let's get out of here!'. When we tried to stand up and leave... we were waiting AGAIN for someone on the floor to even come over to us to get the bill. My partner ended up having to go up to the front counter and search for someone. I honestly felt like just walking out because I was that annoyed and didn't want to give this place any more of my time and especially did not want to give them my money. I'm so disappointed in this Sushi Train. If you want a great experience at a Sushi Train then go to NERANG SUSHI TRAIN. THEY HAVE AMAZING SERVICE and...

Overall, it was a good place to dine at and we enjoyed a variety of sushi.

Just one let down was a poor customer service. A waiter served a plate of sushi that we didn’t order. He insisted that we definitely ordered and said “You GUYS must have ordered” showing us the order docket that has our table number. We were confused since he seemed very confident about it and that they had no doubt that we ordered it. While we were trying to check the order history on our phone app, the waiter left us without saying anything. He then served the dish to the other table. No explanation. No apologies.

Since the order docket he showed me had our table number on, I asked him if he took off the item out of our bill. However my question must have sounded stupid for him and he just said "no, cuz it was not in your bill from the beginning anyway"

Very rude manner. It was their mistake but no apologies, no explanations.

It was a very bad aftertaste. Their sushi quality is really good, even for me - pure Japanese, but i question about the waiter's behavior. There was not something that...

I love THE Sushi Train. Miss it so much from when I used to live in Sydney, Melb doesn't have this branded Sushi Train for some reason. Anyway, you know you're getting amazing variety and quality when you come here. Food is expectedly amazing. Great raw variety, hot/cooked variety and even vegetarian. Good selection of dessert also, chocolate lava cake is fire.

This branch's service however is a little lacking. I think it might have something to do with both the staff and the system. I have to keep reminding them on little things. My utensils were forgotten, after asking twice it finally came. Also asked for the tables to be wiped. Ended up doing it myself with the wet wipes. Ice tea and miso soup were forgotten, came when I was about to finish. After reminding them and saying if the ice tea wasn't gonna come, please cancel it. So I took it anyway. I sit at the counter next to the chef they have to walk past me to get food... so idk that...

I had dinner tonight at sushi train in Broadbeach. I ordered Udon Wagyu Beef Noodle Soup and I spoke to the waiter letting him know that I didn’t enjoy it whatsoever. I didn’t eat much of it. I asked the waiter to take the bowl away and he apologised for the bad tasting dish. I then went to pay for my share of the sushi train and I brought up to the manager how I didn’t like the taste of the udon Wagyu beef soup. She then pretended to not know what I was talking about when I ask for a refund and was confused when I said that the waiter took away the bowl of soup which is why she could not see it on my table. I told her it was all too complicated, clearly, and just to charge me extra $18 for a dish that I didn’t even eat. Not authentic Japanese at all! The premade, sushi, was alright. Wouldn’t recommend going here.

This Sushi Train was excellent when it was located along Gold Coast Highway. Unfortunately the good things don't come along to the new location. I guess the new location focuses on more "drinking" because the restaurant is now named as "bar and dining". When seated, staff member showed me to scan the QR code to view the menu. Very tech-savvy and COVID-safe. I went there with kids and usually they love the kids meal at Sushi train. Couldn't find it on menu so asked a staff member but he said "I am not sure. If it's not there, that means no." I am sure if he works there, he should know the menu better than I do and he could have handled this better. 👎
