I recently had the pleasure of dining at Nineteen at The Star, and I was absolutely blown away by the experience. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted by the warm and welcoming staff, who made me feel at home and attended to my every need. The restaurant itself is absolutely stunning, with a modern and elegant design that perfectly captures the essence of the food and atmosphere. The open kitchen allows diners to see the chefs at work, and the floor-to-ceiling windows provide beautiful views of the surrounding area. The bread was fresh, warm, and perfectly baked, and was served with caramelised butter and oil. The mains at Nineteen at The Star did not disappoint. I ordered the 300gr steak, which was cooked to perfection and served with a variety of delicious sides, including heirloom tomatoes, mashed potato, handcut fries, and roasted brussel sprouts. The flavors were rich and complex, and the presentation was impeccable. The wine selection at Nineteen at The Star is also impressive, with a diverse range of options to complement the food. I sampled a few different red wines during my meal, and each one was carefully chosen and expertly paired with the dishes. The red wines were rich and full-bodied, and provided the perfect complement to the steak. Overall, my experience at Nineteen at The Star was truly exceptional. The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch, and I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. If you are looking for a truly memorable dining experience, I highly recommend Nineteen at The Star – you will not be disappointed.

Bellini Experience Disappointing Five of us attended the monthly special event/experience at Nineteen which had been booked as a birthday celebration 3 weeks prior. We were seated in the walkway opposite a wall and the toilet on a couch in a straight line, making it impossible to talk to each other. We also were extremely uncomfortable at feeling like a fish bowl as people had to walk in front of our couch as they entered the room or went to and from the toilet. When we asked if we could sit elsewhere, (there were empty, unreserved tables inside and outside) we were told no, those tables were for the public. In the end, we were put in a corner and told we MUST vacate at 7pm as there was another party coming. (The other party didn't show up by the time we left at 7.30pm) The 3 different drinks on offer were nice and light, but they ran out of one half way through. While the food was of good quality, there was not too much of it for five people. For what we paid, it would have been better spent elsewhere. A huge positive was the attention of the waitress who could not do enough for us. Thank you to her - she was the epitome of service. I have dined at Nineteen (restaurant) a number of times and have not been disappointed. To go to an event that was supposed to be an amazing experience (especially for a birthday) and to be treated as we were in relation to seating, not enough food and running out of drinks is definitely not the standard one would expect here.

Addendum 25/10/24 Our second visit for another birthday dinner was extremely disappointing. Service was almost non-existent with water glasses not refilled, we weren’t asked if we would like to order wine to accompany our meals, we weren’t asked if there had been a problem with the Scotch 300g even though so many pieces of chewy gristle were left on the plate, we also weren’t asked if we would like to order desert & we had to walk to find a staff member to be able to see & settle our bill after waiting so long at our table for service. Not sure what has happened since our last visit but this will be our last. 24/3/24 This review relates to a birthday dinner in March. We were both very impressed with the decor - including comfortable chairs (so important but often overlooked). Our waiter was so welcoming and lovely - he even lent us his reading glasses for the menu! Our meals were superb (oysters + steak to follow). The only down side for us was that we couldn’t linger as we were taking in a show. This is the only true fine dining restaurant that we have attended on the GC.

The Nineteen at The Star is a fabulous fine dining restaurant and a Rooftop Bar located on the 19th level of The Darling. The restaurant occupies half of the floor to the right of the lifts, while the other half is home to a bar and nightclub. This setup allows guests to enjoy a pre-dinner drink while watching a breathtaking sunset from the balcony or return after dinner for more drinks and a lively party atmosphere.

One downside is that all drinks in the bar are served in plasticware due to the proximity to the swimming pool area, which slightly diminished my enjoyment of the rosé, as I missed having it in a beautiful wine glass. However, you can start a bottle at the bar and finish it in the restaurant, where they have a proper wine glasses.

The venue is luxuriously designed, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase spectacular views of the Gold Coast. The dimmed lighting creates a relaxing and intimate atmosphere. The impressive kitchen is set behind a glass wall, allowing guests to observe the entire operation.

We enjoyed all our starters, which included fresh and baked oysters, beetroot salad, and beef tartare—all beautifully presented and delicious. For mains, we had two steaks, Patagonian toothfish, and Moreton Bay bugs. The steaks and fish were cooked to perfection, but unfortunately, the bugs were overly seasoned on top, which masked the delicate flavor of the seafood.

The side dishes were much appreciated, especially the pumpkin and mashed potatoes. And a chocolate treats that we were given after dinner were an absolute delight!

Service was generally good, though it started a bit rocky as we struggled with a couple of young waitstaff. Thankfully, a knowledgeable and attentive gentleman named [my apologies for not providing his name] took over and took excellent care of us.

This restaurant is definitely worth visiting for a special dinner and also offers breakfast and lunch service. Bookings are highly recommended, but sometimes you can get lucky with a...

Went here to take my partner’s parents to dinner. Terrible service, was rushed to order soon as we sat down. Then got told we had to leave by 7:30 we’d been seated at 5:45. Food took ages to come out as-well as drinks. There was 5 of us only 2 of us ordered mains the rest ordering entrees, as well as some sides to share. Was never offered a dessert menu to even look at. The waitress kept hovering around trying to clear plates as quickly as possible. Whole thing felt very rushed and food was nothing special. We’ve been here before for dinner and it was a much better experience food wise and service wise. Went to get the bill and they wouldn’t accept my star membership card even though our whole group are members I had 100 casino dollars on my card which I was going to put towards the bill, however the waitress wouldn’t let me do that or even gain the points for paying the bill, my card also grants a 20% discount at the stars multiple restaurants and bars and that was also disregarded. My partner and I spend a fair bit of money at the casino and are quite regular. Thought we’d be looked after a bit better. Apparently there policy had changed all of a sudden, and that only a group of four or less can get the discount. I should’ve booked two separate tables and dragged them together my partner and I have the same tier card. Very disappointed, I think it’s quite obvious the casino is undergoing financial troubles, how that is possible is beyond me it’s a casino after all. Won’t be...
