Fantastic all you can eat Seafood Buffet. Friendly and attentive service. We came a bit earlier on a quiet Saturday and were lucky as no one in the queue and quieter in restaurant so was kindly let in a bit earlier which was wonderful so we could pace ourselves a bit. There’s no way you could try even a morsel of every item on display there is such a selection. Oysters though small were delicious and fresh. King prawns were perfect size also very fresh and amazing. Delicious mussels in a yummy sweet Asian style sauce. Yummy Mac n cheese, delicious Carbonara pasta, awesome hot chips. Pork medallions were very good and delicious roasted potatoes and steamed broccoli seasoned with salt and olive oil perfectly. Thinly sliced roast pork with crackling was delicious and Angus roast beef was big maybe a bit too big but very good but needed seasoning or maybe a jus. Indian monthly special had an array of sweet and savoury dishes. They tasted very authentic with complex spices but felt it overpowered the flavours of everything else but really enjoyed the potato bonda and chicken 65. Didn’t love the roast pumpkin with curry as I love it just naturally caramelised. Also Southern fried wings were meh. Didn’t get to try any of the leafy nor exotic salads, pizzas, cheeseboard, antipasto, sushi nor dumplings. The dessert section was next level. Incredible selection of cakes, pavlova, mousse, melons, cheesecake, jelly, apple crumble, bread n butter pudding, parfait, eclairs, Indian sweets, vanilla or chocolate soft serve and milk (should’ve been dark!) chocolate fountain! Favourite was the crème brûlée made to perfection!!! Only downside was that we were seated with 2 groups with babies and young kids who were loud, fighting/crying and banging on stuff so was not the best ambience while they were there but lovely when they left. Why would you seat couples with big groups especially babies and screaming kids who knows maybe First Table section? Unlimited post mix soft drink and hot drink machine and great tea selection. Overall an excellent buffet experience that exceeded expectations and would highly recommend but perhaps opt for a table better suited to your requirements. Would be great option for family groups of big eaters. Staff were excellent, clearing used plates and replenishing discard bowls and offering drink service. Parking for up to 3 hours was $10 (free for members) and allowed us time to walk the casino and watch punters lose thousands of dollars. Food was overall excellent and highly recommend crème brûlée, oysters, prawns, mussels, orange almond cake. If you’re a sweet tooth, hit dessert bar first. It’s awesome! Excellent First Table option saving you...
Read moreHad our work Christmas party here and not too sure whether we're coming back. There seems to be a lot of Argentinian/Brazilian staff working who don't speak good English. We had to walk around and find someone to take our drinks order because nobody comes to your table and asks if you need refreshments and then halfway through our meal a random waitress came over with an Eftpos machine and said "pay pay" to us. We asked her what are we paying for and she pointed to the drinks we ordered half an hour ago. It was just so random and there was a receipt with no prices on it so we had no idea how much each beverage was. Then lining up 10 minutes to get food each time, it was more like an RSL or Sizzler vibe. The food was okay and the options were fairly variable but the dishes were very basic. The pizza was similar to dominoes it was very doughy and the pasta was standard and good for fussy eaters - nothing new to the pallete. The roast was a bit dry and they only put out a few bits of crackling so by the time you've waited 10 minutes in the queue its always gone. Considering the price you pay it just doesn't come across as being a premium service/experience at all. Staff need to have some higher service training. They seem to be more concerned about just clearing plates and not actually checking in on you and seeing if you'd like a drink or something. If they had asked us for more top-ups and checked in on us they could've sold more beverages as we were there to enjoy ourselves and relax. They don't speak to you at all unless you get out of your seat and go find one. And then the lack of English-speaking staff makes it hard to communicate. I couldn't understand why there was so many non-english speaking wait staff, its a bit odd because if you go to other parts of the Star there are Australian staff - so do just the harvest buffet hire international staff? On the more positive side; the dessert selection is great and they have plenty of delicious options. Our crew loved the creme brulee and enjoyed the chocolate fountain - this is definitely the highlight of...

We recently visited for a birthday celebration, and it turned out to be a lovely evening overall!
The Good Stuff (Plates Full of Praise!) 💚
Let's start with what truly shone! The salads were consistently fresh and genuinely tasty, a definite highlight. And oh, the dessert section is always a winner! There are so many delightful small tidbits to try, and those stunning chocolate displays are a beautiful addition. We also appreciated the lovely drink choices at the bar. A big shout-out to the chefs – they were all so lovely and friendly, which really added to the atmosphere. Plus, the tables were cleaned quite quickly, making room for more deliciousness. The soup was hot and yummy, a comforting touch. While the cost can add up for a larger group, we found it to be quite competitive for an all-you-can-eat option, especially when compared to similar establishments. So, if you're wondering about the value, we'd say it's definitely worth it!
Room for Improvement (Just a Nibble of Feedback!) 🩵
Now, for a few things that could be even better. The main challenge we encountered was the very limited space and at times, the noise. It often felt quite crowded, leading to a few accidental bumps – not ideal when you're juggling plates or drinks! The meat selection was quite sparse, which could be a real hurdle if you're not a seafood fan. And honestly, for the price point, much of the non-seafood food felt more like casual sizzler-style quality rather than something more elevated.
The Bottom Line
Ultimately, we had a good time celebrating. This spot has some fantastic strengths, especially in its fresh salads, incredible desserts, and friendly staff. Just be prepared for a cozy atmosphere and a focus on seafood. We hope this honest rundown helps you decide if it's the right fit for your next...
