Yesterday I ordered 1 x pizza, carbonara and wings without onion or garlic on anything. I was called 20 or so mins after ordering to be told they didnt have regular wings only spicy so we ordered another pizza and was then told/asked "are you sure you don't want onion in the carbonara as that's basically half of it", I was a little surprised and tried to think of the last time I had eaten a carbonara that was half onion.. I had to repeat the sentence back to him to make sure it's heard correctly "so a carbonara is half onion" and he replied "yeah basically just onion and bacon". He then let me know we could substitute with mushrooms or chicken and we chose mushrooms. At this point, if I could've cancelled my order I would've but wanted to try a local restaurant/local business for once and had already paid and wasnt sure how Id actually get a refund. The food was delivered about 20mins after the advised time which made it about 1.5 hours total time between ordering and having the food delivered. The pizzas were nice in that they had lots of topping, but the sizing is not allinged with the price you pay. The pasta came and was half full, only half way because of all of the sauce if there wasnt so much watery sause the actual pasta would've only filled the container about a quarter of the way up. - we ordered a large aswell to share between multiple people as when I've ordered a large pasta from other Italian or pizza places on the Gc it's enough to feed people/even have left overs. Read moreOrdered online 2 x pizzas, chicken wings and 1 x Pepsi around 6:30pm. Delivery was for 7.27pm and delivered at 7:46pm. Driver was very apologetic she left Pepsi behind. Promised us that she contacted Helensvale store and another driver was leaving with Pepsi straight away. Waited another 30 minutes or so and still no sign of the drink. Called store and a young man stated someone is leaving now to deliver. I asked why driver was leaving after being promised 30 minutes ago that driver would deliver at that time. His response was that they had other deliveries to deliver and yet hadn’t completed our order. We like our pizza with soft drink and expected drink much earlier. The young man really didn’t care.
We could have gone to Fast food around the corner from where we live. Instead we chose Marie’s as we like the pizza. It seems the people employed are either not trained well in customer service and or are incompetent persons being employed.
Do the drivers not have a check list of items from the order before delivering and aren’t management taught the art of customer service? It’s more than 2 hours after ordering that we are eating. Great food Helensvale - it’s a shame it’s not matched with your customer service or genuine care. Was offered nothing in return for such long delay.

After reading the reviews on here, I saw that there were replies such as contact our email address to discuss this further etc. So I thought, to add discretion, I would email them about the service that I received to prevent it happening in the future. My email pointed out that I had a 45 minute wait on two packs of wings on a fairly quiet night. Now, I am a patient person and I don’t mind waiting if there is communication apologising for the delay. There was none. Ironically considering I was mentioning a lack of communication in the email to the place they had said to contact almost a month ago (9/12/2018) I received no reply to my email.
