Saltwater Creek Hotel — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Absolutely horrible! Yes it’s cheap for lunch but still not worth it! Food is not great at all. The young girls were lovely and friendly, however the old lady was just rude from the minute we arrived! She said abruptly and aggressively with no smile or any friendliness at all, “do you have a booking?” My daughter said yes we do, then the old lady rudely said to the young girl do we have a large booking? And guess what we did! Still not one bit of happiness from the old one!.

They were turning multiple people away saying they are booked out, when they clearly weren’t! (Only a third of the tables were taken) we were there for 2 hours definitely not booked out!

The old lady was extremely rude to everyone including my grandchildren and another elderly lady on another table who was just simple asking where the sauce was!

She should not be in customer service at all! if you don’t like your job maybe it’s time to leave! I would hate to find out my staff were turning away perfectly good paying customers...

We have been here a couple of times. The food is very average but the price is ok. I was part of a group that booked a table for 9 people 3 weeks ago for a Xmas meal for next Friday. We received a call from the hotel saying that even though we were the first to book they wouldn't be able to accommodate us as they are now fully booked and the other groups are larger. They offered to put us in the sports bar (which is a fair distance from the dining room). Most of our group are elderly and the 30m walk is difficult for them. We booked early as we realise that coming into December they get quite busy but the lady who rang said we booked with the wrong person, not her. How are we supposed to know who takes the bookings? We are absolutely disgusted and angry with how we have been treated. It is just NOT good enough. I sincerely hope some of these groups DON'T turn up on the day because that is what you deserve. Luckily we managed to book in elsewhere. Not buffet but the food is much better. Merry Christmas...

Honestly this establishment does not deserve to be in business.

The Buffett isn't value for money. We arrived at 6.35pm tonight and expected a lot more.

The women who took our money showed us to a table that had just been used ( the restaurant was two thirds empty). She said she would set the table for us. Till this very second I am still waiting for her to do this. We had to go and source our own cutlery and napkins.

At first glance we noticed that half the buffet bays were either nearly empty or had slops of. water in them. What was there was boiled beyond its life and was tasteless and bland.

I bit into a roll that was stale and was more like a rock. The salads were bland. No imagination went into preparing these.

The 'build your own burger bar' had one onion ring and two empty bowls. Not exactly what was advertised.

The dessert bar was a selection of cakes that were obviously cooked or made some time last week. None of them were
